Is this a good deal
Hello members, I need your help. I'm looking for a beater for a daily driver ( Tsx miles are getting too high). Ne ways I came across a 92 acura Integra for $2100 with 183,000 miles. It's in good condition. Do you think I will spend more money fixing the a car with that many miles? Or should i talk down the price and if so, how much should I ask them to go down to.
Thanks
Thanks

Burn some dust here
I would try to talk him down to $1,500. Sounds crazy but that seems expensive to me for that kind of a beater.
I just looked them up and the prices kind of shocked me. If its in decent shape then I would ask $2,000 and you should get it.

Yeah it does, but I'm in real need of another car. I don't want to pay for than $3000. Any other suggestions on how many miles I should be looking for in that price range. I prefer any Integra but I was looking at some 92-95 Civics also.

FIGHTING ILLINI
I have a 90 Integra LS (178K). Things I have replaced in the past 3 years:
distributer: $600 (I heard that this was a common problem with the integras from this generation.)
driver side axel $200
radiator >200
brake piston 400.
tires $300
So u might wanna ask him abt the things already fixed on the car. Other things that you might wanna consider is the timing-belt, brakes, etc. If you can get him down to <2000 then its a good deal IMO (assuming car is in decent condition). But its tough to speculate w/o knowing the condition of the car.
I think i would try to search for a mid-90s honda civic with fewer miles for that price instead of an integra w/ 180k+ miles .

That's a little high.
How are the tires?
When was the last service and timing belt changed?
How's the tranny and brakes?
Take it to a service department or acura specialist.
Probably if it's in good condition and tags are current, about $1500 - $1,900 w/tax and title and smog..!!!
Or keep looking.
Good hunting.

my boy bought a 94 civic hatch with high mileage for 2gs, did an engine swap for 500
so you can always buy a really high mileage integra or civic and do a swap, they shouldnt cost more than a g
if i needed a beater i would get a 90-93 accord, those shits are cheap and reliable as hell, i loved my old one
