A good book
I'm looking for a good book. I like to read but there's not much I can stick with because I just get bored. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good book that has a storyline with lots of cars and racing in it. Those are the kind of books I can really get in to

When I was in school, on my free time, i'd just go to the library and pick out any book that had to do with cars and read them. Also at barnes and nobles and other book stores. especially books that would show you how things worked.
its been over 5 years and i dont remember any names. the only book i would be interested in right now would be classic camaros for dummies.

Great book. I really enjoyed it.
OP:
If you're looking for a book involving racing and non-fiction, I highly recommend "Go Like Hell" by A.J. Baime.
It's an historical account of when two tribes went to war in the 1960s. Ford and Henry Ford II, armed with Lee Iacocca, a Texas chicken farmer, a bunch of California hotrodders, and various racing drivers battled with Ferrari and Enzo Ferrari. The battles, the tracks, the cars, the drivers, the high points, and the lows are all included in the book. The book ends with Ford's eventual triumph, but provides a rich insight of both companies throughout.

Non-fiction book that chronicles the Williams F1 1995 season.
Give some insight from everyone from a wide range of people in front and behind the scenes from Frank Williams and Damon Hill to the husband/wife that cook for the traveling team and the drivers that haul the transporter all over Europe. Enjoyed it, easy reading.

Also, if you want to read about Perry McCarthy, the pre-Ben Collins Stig, you can follow his life long dream of becoming an F1 driver, and how he goes about doing it. It's an easy read and some good laughs, it's called Flat Out, Flat Broke: Formula 1 The Hard Way

Excellent non-fiction book on the auto business

Won Pultizer Prize for the two Wall Street Journal authors, only downside is the book was written in 1995 so it only covers the 50's to early 90's but none the less a great read.
