He was having problems with his cable modem, so he hasn't been around.

Eric might have a number to him.

different.....i went from a TL to a '03 silverado

stock for stock the truck feels like you have to drive like a grandma in corners and stuff and the suspension is loose with....but gotta love the V-8 accept when it comes time to fill her up...

After the rims, and I dropped the rear now

^ for pics... can haul through corners and stuff just as nice.....I like having more room plus the bed and the room in the can....im like 6'1 and 235 so...plus the modification possibilities are endless!

Truck vs acura i'd take the truck.....

truck vs G35c I'd take the G

do you miss the cl at all? do you miss having a car to rip around a little?

I am shopping for cars.... and its between 05 legacy gt and an 05 f150. Completely different I know.... I just need something bigger, and something I can haul bikes with, take off road, etc. The subie would run $28 - 30k, I could probably get the truck for $22,000....

I just built the f150 on the ford site... black w/ grey interior, v8, black running boards...looks sweet.

what kind of bikes? Mountain? if thats all you are hauling get some nice hard racks and find a slightly used STI and roll like that.

The only reason I got the silverado is because I ride motorcross...I have 2 bikes and I don't see a trailer as practical, and the little dinky bike trailers are gay IMO.

Trucks are cool but they are big, gotta get used to the longer wheel base and you'll run over a few curns parking the first week. Unless you have 22's are are paranoid as hell about them. lol

My grandfolks have a legacy and it's nice and all great motor, zippy, but I don't think its a comfortable car. I dunno if there is a big difference in the GT or not?

I love the V8 sound and can't wait till i put exhaust on it, but i spend about 50 bucks a week in gas and in college I have to work a few extra hours for that tab. that the only downside i really see in the truck.....but its worth it 2 me (and thats like 415 miles per tank so)

After I dropped it in the bacland put the rims on I can rip around in it, i was really supprised it made the truck ride that much better! Some engine stuff and it will be faster than the acura. the truck stock ran a 15.6 in the 1/4 so.....??

Look into the Fords though...my neighbbor got an extended cab with the 5.4 V-8 in it and has had all sorts of trouble with the engine but supposidly they warrantied it and took care of everything. The interior is nice in the exsp. w/ the leather though

yeah I need to move mountain and road bikes... so a bike rack would work. I don't really want an sti, need something bigger... and the 05 legacy gt has the sti engine.

the gas is a bitch on the trucks but whatever, I dont drive that much really. I love the sound of the v8 too...

need to go for some test drives I guess.

My girl had an 05 F150 for a demo for awhile and I would rock that in a crew cab if I were to get a truck. Now its an F250 and that diesel is awsome!

Subie is cool, but it sounds like you really want the truck

yeah... the f150's are great too. I'll have to take some drives and compare.

I had an 05 durango for a loaner last week and fell in love with big trucks. that thing kicked ass to drive.

plus a truck would be great for hauling crap and going out to the desert.

It would be great to put your dog in the passenger seat or bed of the truck and drive around. Just remember, the dog may jump out once, but if it is still alive, it won't do it again.

The new Honda Ridgeline is what I'd get and I hate trucks.

I dont promote the Ridgeline simply because its a Honda, it just makes sense for 95% of people out there. Its a true half ton pickup that can tow 5,000 pounds and still be refined/fun to drive.

I didnt change the title/redirect the thread.

The Ridgeline comes out in March.

So far reviewers have called it the best handling and best riding truck ever.

Oh and it has a small trunk UNDER the bed with a drain plug at the bottom

Its really neat, I saw it at the Portland Auto Show. The Dodge salesmen next to the Honda section looked like they were about to crap their pants

Rootbeer, you seem like the kinda guy who would own a truck. Would be handy for all those craigslist items I was looking at trucks too before I bought the CLS but I'm not a truck guy. I just couldn't justify the low mpg for something I wasn't going to use as a truck that often.

My advice is to figure out what you want (Full sized ??. long bed??, ext. cab ??, 4x4) and then drive each of the makes.

My lil' Bro' checked out the full sized rigs, but ended up with a 2003 Tacoma ext. cab V6 4x4 SR5. Gets decent mileage, has room for his daughter (or your doggie) in the ext.cab, and has a high resale value.

My dad was in the market for a truck bout 2 months ago. He test drove every major truck company...(dodge,ford,chevy,toyota, and nissan.) While he drove, I would look at other things...such as interior, radio, just the overall quality. It ended up that we thought the f-150 was the best for the money, BUT he disliked the ford name.....So later we ended up getting the Nissan Titan fully loaded...It by FAR is the best desision...He goes to fort-smith every weekend to go tow about 7000 pounds.....It pulls like a champ! and the only thing that comes close to outrunning it is the hemi, but most of the street trucks will out run it....Get the titan.....youll be happy you did.

Yea, I second the Titan. Those things are deceivingly quick for a pickup. And I think they're selling at or below invoice so you could probably get a really good deal on one.
