Ghetto Gtech yes or no?

I am just kinda curious about my pos accords performance and stuff and I think I gtech would be cool. I am looking to spend almost nothing casue it isn't really a priority and my car is a pos and stuff so is this decent at all? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

yea that is why i figured why not. If i hate it I will just resell it, take like a $10 hit and life goes on, no big deal. The poll is showing 75% saying no. if you say no say why, like is this thing really that bad?

well my accord isn't exactly drag strip material, a 97 LX with 130 HP and an auto tranny I think I would get laughed at. and the cool thing about the gtech is that it can be moved from car to car so me and all my friends couild laugh at how slow our cars are. i could test out my friends 88 camary station wagon . Yea so I am kinda just lookin for fun with it and I will try not to do anythign stupid with it lol

Car & Driver or one of those mags did a comparo test an all of these. For the most part they were off by some margin.
Now I had that Gtech & it was just a PITA to setup & get good readings. They were off a great deal. 0-60 times were a full second off the stock spec. It's very sensitive to road bumps & placement.

I have one of those. From what I read on the included instructions, the reading should be fairly accurate (but obviously). The one you are looking at is the older model (mid-90??) and that's why it's cheap. Just get one $27 cant hurt.

Honestly I havent used it much. But all you gotta do it make sure its leveled on your windsheld (it has a in-built something that tells you when its leveled). So, its fairly easy to move it from one car to another.

ha i think i should get some decent numbers in my accord, it is pretty low with Neuspeed sport springs and I got some kuhmos. The G is shipping priority from SC to NC so it shouldn't take that long. Hopefully I will get it by saturday so I can use it over the weekend casue I am going out of town for 2 weeks on wednesday

Never be ashamed to go to the track. You can possibly be respected for trying, for the most part. Some people never run their cars for fear of being laughed at, so, they will always wonder.
I've seen people with blow off valve sounding things in their Exhausts get out and run

that's the oldest model they have (performance meter < competition < ss < rr). pretty good for the price, but will be a bitch to calibrate. i have the competition model and it works really well. i took it to the track and was only off by 1 to 2 hundreds of a second in the quarter.

If your measuring G's you need to mount it sidways on the windshield, & keep it level, & try to read sideways. That's fun.
