You can argue for many of these cars but I got to tell you guys, my brother bought an '01 Boxter S with 28,000 miles and walked out for $32,000. After taking it out for a few hours with the top down doing 140 on the expressway, I can't think of too many other cars I'd rather buy for that kind of money. The overall fit and finish is superb.
This car is tight as hell, even at 140-150 and the 6 speed tranny is just awesome, no matter how hard you push it.
Not as fast as the EVO or STI but still fast, 14.2 quarter stock and the respect you get in this car is unlike anything else, it's a Porsche!
It's definitely got me thinking about a used one.

Between the two, G35C or the STi, if it were my money I'd buy a G35C. You'll get way better dealer service, comfortable daily ride, and available power with the twin turbo kit for the VQ. STi is a great car for the money, but it's like a big toy. And, keep in mind it doesn't have any sort of radio from the factory. Not even speakers.

I say get the G. Its reliable and its an overall better car. If the STI is anything like the Impreza, then its a mistake to get it. I have 2 friends that have the Imprezas and they have experienced soo many problems with their cars. One of my friends' turbos broke after only driving the car for 1200 miles. At the moment, one of them is experiencing tranny problems. His 2nd and 3rd gear are acting up. They have experienced rattling, squeaks, suspension problems, engine starting problems, turbo problems. They also said that subaru service is horrible and you'll never get a hold of a loaner car if you need one. They are both getting rid of their cars and are getting a G coupe and a 350z instead. It could just be their cars.....who knows. But all i know is that they said they would never buy another subaru again and they wouldn't recommend anyone to get one either.

Drifting
the STi is cool in that it offers a sh*t load of power and speed for the money, but thats pretty much where it ends to me. The G has way more style and class.

Yeah, I know these are two different cars to compare. I wasn't sure which route I wanted to take, sports luxury or pure performance.
I notice a lot more votes for the G35c than the STi, but I'm think I'm gonna go with the STi. The G35c just reminds me of a CLS in too many ways and I want to drive something different for a change. I figure I'm still young, I don't need all that class and luxury at the moment.
Well, thanks again everyone. I'll let ya'll know when I get it.

Here is a good looking G35 Sedan IMO.

It has the Factory Body Kit.

The G35 is a more pleasing car when going out for a date, or some fancy party, yet sporty performance to back it up..
Now, the STi is more of a "Bitch get out of my way"!!! This car just scream brute power!! The low end grunt and the top end of this car is crazy! Yet, it can still go play hard on snow and rain.. I love it.
I vote for STi..

Okay, after doing some thorough research, I don't think I'm going to get the STi because I hear about too many tranny problems. Hmmmm... How bout G35c or 350z?

People try to compare G35 to everything else, even not in the same class. "should I go for TL or G35 sedan?", "330Ci vs. G35 coupe", "I am considering RX-8 and G35", and now "G35 coupe or STi?!?" I have also seen people comparing Accord, TSX, A4, and even 5-series to G35. It's like seeing Lakers, going everywhere and becomes the target.......but really, the more people compare it with the other cars, the better I think it is. It covers a broad range of cars....from mid-sized family to sport coupes, from near-luxury sport sedans to high performance AWD.
By the way, almost forgot, I will vote for G35 coupe. It is the best compromise of everything.

STI > EVO
It doesn't really matter what problems they have w/the evo since most everything on my evo has either been swapped or will be swapped in the near future. I just need the motor and trans to hold together.
Oh, to keep it on topic. I'd pick the G35 over the Z. Much more practicality.
btw, evo's have been consistently owning the sti's at the road courses and drag strips lately. Fastest evo to date in the U.S. is a 10.6. There are even a few that are hitting high 11's w/the stock turbo and stock internals. As far as I know the STI's are still stuck in the 12's.

The 4G63 has been out for awhile and we all know you EVO owners are very well supported(in terms of mods) before the EVO came out, so you guys have an advantage from a start.. lol We will prevail!
