Getting rid of a lease?

Right now I have a 2006 Accord that is leased for 36 months, and I've had it for 24 months or about...I was just wondering is there anyway to turn it in early?

I found a good deal on a 2008 TL Lease...And I was wondering how hard it would be to swap it for a TL? The TL wouldn't be that much more, other then a 1k down payment.

Of course you can turn it in early.......it'll cost you a lot to do that though.

Read your contract for all the details.

I don't even need to drive that thing to know that it would be a boring car to drive. Sucks that you got pulled into it at that time. GL on getting rid of it man and pick up the TL!

You should talk to the selling dealer of the TL. It's a Honda lease so they may be able to get you out & into the new car.
I was able to do that with my 02 CLS. I wanted the 03 6mt. I was able to get out of the lease for free, but had to pay $6K for the price differences/lease costs etc, upfront.

What is your pay-off on the Accord versus the realistic trade-in amount? Are you upside down? If not, just trade it in and reap the tax savings.

Gonna head over this weekend...Rick Case Acura, they said they have to appraise me first.

Ya, I think going from 4cyl 160hp to v6 258hp would be pretty noticable difference. I do kinda feel like a brat for trading a 2 year old car in for a TL though (even though I pay for it myself)...

i work for honda/acura how many months do you have left exactly? whats the payoff? i have seen situations like this where we can take in your car as if you own it. or roll the remainng payments into the new lease. whats the payments on the TL and your current lease now

18 months left...paying $280/month...350/month for the new lease...Not sure if it's worth it.

From your original post you have 12 months left not 18.

You could also try to find a buyer for the accord & sell it to them. You can go to the dealer & they can do this with you & the new buyer. Then your free & clear, & can lease another car of your choice.
This is how I sold my 1st 6MT that was leased.

Well I thought it was 3-yr lease at first, then realized after I posted I have a 42-month lease. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I might go there this weekend, but if anything atleast I can test drive a new TL

well if you take 280 x 18 months you get $5040. and if you roll those remaining payments into your new lease your looking at appor. $140 on top of your $350 a month. based on 36 month lease.

But they might treat your car like you own it. and then you would start fresh. but who knows. best way is to just come in it doesnt hurt
