Getting Bored....
Clearly you guys are hot and bothered by even posting responses.
Look, Im not saying ANYONE cant be here. Im saying if you dont own an Acura keep your negativity to yourself. If you have a REAL POINT TO MAKE, then make it. But if you simply want to bash the brand, do it elsewhere.
Is that REALLY crying? Cause in the end it doesnt matter and wont change if I sign in here or not. It just just some advice for the future. Personally I think its stupid to be here if you dont own an Acura. And I can only laugh at people claiming this is the best forum they can find for general car talk. Azine is pretty much the hondatech for acuras with less traffic.
AGAIN, all I did was tell the OP to buy an Acura. Opinions followed opinions and you see where that led. OP should have just bought an Acura.
There is no argument to be had. Someone was just being a damn negative nancy without giving any real information. I called it out. Get over it.

Is this real?So from this logic.. Once we sell/trade/get rid of our Acuras we have to leave the site?!?! I'm confused.
How about, some of us have been here for more than a hot minute (cough cough) and use this site as a tool of communication to people that you have been "socializing" with for YEARS. Hell, some even a decade or better. Members have passed away. Friendships have been formed. Wasn't there even a marriage?
There are so many ranges of people on this website. You have to be pretty naive that everyone that has been here for a while still owns an Acura. They come here because of the Acurazine "family", not just to chest bump eachother over their Acuras. Yes, there are huge followings in those sub-sections, but most of them come and go. Not long term members. Hell, I would trust the opinion of some of the members on this site long before I would trust the word of someone else.
I owned 3 Hondas and 1 Acura. Would I own another. Sure, depending on what it was.. But my life has evolved and the needs I want out of a vehicle, I don't want out of an Acura. So why does that mean I have to stop having contact with a site I have been a part of for quite a while? I don't get an opinion because I don't own an Acura anymore? How does that work exactly?
Says the dipshit with the singular argument that goes in circle...like your family tree.
Whooooa. Someones angry. If you honestly cared about this forum you would have PMd me to take this argument elsewhere. You enjoy the argument as much as I do.
Swervin, you were PMd if you care to carry this conversation further. I doubt you do though so let it die there shall we?
But for the record you definitely get an opinion. Im just requesting some insight behind the opinion be given.

You are putting a lot of thoughts in my head that aren't mine or rightfully don't belong there. I never claimed everyone here NEEDS to own an acura. I stated I FIND it stupid to be here if you don't. Meaning I wouldn't if I didn't. Do you have to leave? Noooo. Should you respect the brand of car these forums are intended for? Id like to see that. Will you? Chances no. Will I still bitch about it? Probably.
And for the record respect doesn't mean mindlessly following a product. It means giving real thought and info verse mindless banter.

Although, i'm not sure whom is putting thoughts in his head.. Or what thoughts he is even talking about.
So again.. With his logic.. Everyone that has had an Acura and has sold it, must leave now... Because it doesn't make any sense....
LOL.. Could you imagine.. This site would be overrun by crickets if everyone that didn't own an Acura, left.
That's what I'm saying. As I said earlier, At 6'2 and sitting behind the driver's seat that I set for my own comfort level, I barely grazed the back of the seat. That's a remarkable amount of room for a car of that class. The 6 gains 3 inches in rear leg room where I can literally almost slump down before my knees hit.
The 3, for my purposes is only worth while in the 2.5L engine though to be comparable (surpass from what I'm hearing) to the 6. Though the 2.0L might be all the OP needs. I say that and the Accord Sport are worth looking at with the Mazda's being my favorite to date. The new 3's will be hitting dealers lots mid October according to my local dealer
What price range are you looking at? 20-30?
And what is important to you? Styling? Power? Money saving?
The 2014 mazda6 is gorgeous in my opinion but at only 184hp from that 2.5l, that's slower than an ILX.
The mazda has the option for a manual or auto where as the kia is auto only.
Personally, I hate Kias. Hyundai's too. Damn Koreans.
If you can spend more towards 30grand Id look at the A3. If you like wagons then go for that but the sedans are going to be GORGEOUS! I say A3... if thats too expensive then the Mazda6. No kia. Ew.
Wait wait the grand touring is automatic only... did I miss something?

Also keep in mind though for less money the M6 has a lot more tech and far more room, not to mention insurance will be a tad cheaper too, again depending on OP's price range.
He mentioned a GT earlier in his post which is around 30k. And the car is far from slow, it's not a racecar by any means nor is it meant to be, but it's definitely one of the most fun to drive 4 cylinder's I've ever been behind the wheel of. As far as automatic vs automatic goes, the Mazda is a full second faster 0-60 though.
As mentioned earlier, if "fun" is a factor, the 2.5L M3 will be what I'm looking forward to as that's one of my requirements
I'm not sure what price range you're looking at. I know the Mitsu Lancer has a sportback model that gives it some utility:
http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/j...ck/13/trims.do
Hell, it has more power in GT trim than a tarted up Civ....Um, er, an ILX.

How much is an m6 vs the m3?
I was referring to the car being only available in an automatic. Everyone was having bitch fits that the ILX tech wasnt manual. Now I see other companies lacking manual versions. Seems to be the new norm.
My bad. I made the statement incredibly sweeping to convey sarcasm.
You are in the minority here. If you don't like it here.... GTFO
Well you bought an ILX. Enough said.
You should take some notes form SSFFTXXX, he is very good at this.

I love my car thank you very much. I got what I wanted and I got it fully loaded.
I get compliments on the daily and I love driving a car you don't see around ever.
A small entry level luxury car similar to any R series build was exactly what I needed right now in life so get a grip.

[QUOTE=usdmJON;14692368]An m3 would definitely be the route to take! Not sure if Id want to grab the a3 sedan over the M3. Ive not compared the two but power isnt the most important thing in my opinion (I am driving an ilx after all). I care more about the plans Id have for it in the future.
How much is an m6 vs the m3?
I'm price shopping the 2 so for my needs, they're almost the same price. The Grand Touring M6 does nothing for me, so the standard iTouring with leather (the 2 tone is absolute sex) is around 25k. The 2.5L M3 only comes in GT for that engine and starts around 24 and some change. Thus theyre very comparable price wise. If "fun" and a hatchback with more gizmos is your cup of tea, I think the M3 wins.
Whereas the M6 looks better (more mature and less scrunched) and has more room but for the same price there's less gadgets, not quite as fun as the more nimble M3 and marginally worse in gas.

Ahh. OP may be interested in the M3 as well if he wants something more toward the fun to drive side of things.
I can see there are some suggestions in this thread but it's being clouded by all the
. Y'all will know what I've bought when I get it next spring.

I know I've mentioned this in an earlier post but I feel like the thread sort of derailed and possibly got overlooked so I'll suggest it again lol.
maybe an e36 m3? also when you pick out the next car, please give us an update!

geez, USDuMbJON.
and the OP has an Elantra. Seriously, what kind of budget did you think he had?
Or... if you want a fun car... go for the GTI, which is a GREAT all round hatchback. Fast, quiet, corners very well, roomy, GREAT fit and finish, comfy. OR get the Focus ST, very sweet tech, comfy seats, fast, corners like on rails.
I have driven/ridden in both of those cars, i would highly recommend either of them over mazda, hyundai, kia, etc etc

Holllleee shieett.. I saw the page count and actually thought Andrew picked an interesting car. I should have known better.
Seriously.. the fucking guy owns an ILX.. I think the ZDX guys get more rep than ILX owners.
