Get a 300M from a WRX?

Sup guys.

I am considering getting an 2002 300M w/ the Performance package.

I am considering trading in my 2004 WRX for it.

Why?

Well b/c the WRX by all means is a fun A$$ car, but its just to small. Not just for me, but sometimes when my family of 4 wants to go out to the mall, but not take our Expedition out, we tend to drive the WRX. My son complains he does not get enough room in the back (He is 8 yrs old) and my daughter is still a baby.
Since I only drove one 300M I figure its an nice car, but not to sure about saying its worth saying good by to the AWD WRX for it. But I would love the extra room and comfort level the 300M has to offer. Plus at the END... my payments will be a lot less on it and shorter finance term to. I think it would be wise, but I dunno.... I figure I ask here before I bite the bullet on one.

Yes... I know I will not be running a 6 seconds flat on the 300M as I would in my WRX, but I am not into racing.

The 300M will most likely cost less in insurance too and it really aint that slow, that Hemi is no joke alot of guys have lost to it.

Hi. I am thinking you are talking about the 300C or 300. The 300M is not made anymore and it does not have the HEMI. It comes w/ a 3.5L (I think) motor and has 250hp (I think).

....................And yes the insurance will drop at least $14.00 less a month

I only pay $60 a month on the wrx,, but still the insurance rating on the WRX is almost the same as a CORVETTE insurance.

that's a strange choice for someone who enjoys driving. Why not a 2002 Maxima or something else that would be a little more fun but still have room?

Oh yeah..reading is fundamental this early in the morning I just saw 300 and assumed. The 2002 300M ain't that bad but like Danny said why not an 02 Maxima 6spd or something.

I drove a 300C and couldn't see out any of the windows very well... lots of blind spots. How about a Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT I haven't been in the back of one, but looks like it would have decent room and still a fun car.

You need to adjust the seats & mirrors better then. I had no blind spots when I rented a 300 limited for a 3K mile road trip.

by what you're saying it sounds like a wagon or something like that would fit your needs nice:
have you thought about a Toyota Matrix XRS. you can get on one of those loaded to the gills with tax for like 20 grand and no trade.
They're not oh my god "WRX sti fast" but their have I think 180 or 190 hp with a 6 speed.
another option
is
Chevy HHR:it runs around 20 grand for the loaded model with tax out the door without trade. Plus it has 175 hp.
