Congratulations! For stock it's great. Most of the enthusiast on xbimmers and G01 groups always tune them. I used a guy in north NJ to reflash tune the 2018 X3 I use for work. Its less sluggish and I get way better fuel economy. He said the reflash tune (M40i) bumps it to 395 HP and 418 TQ with a fuel economy increase of 10%

Not for long. Wifey hated them.. She ordered custom plates the same day. I'm still waiting on DMV to send us the plates.

Also stock numbers are 355 HP and 369 TQ. Don't believe those numbers as it's been proven the B58 Dyno's higher than what BMW claims. BMW under rates their engines. Any tune gains are all based off stock numbers. The new supra has the B58 engine and put down 339 whp and 427 wtq. All B48 and B58 engines are way under rated. In reality, a reflash tune will put me well over the 400 HP mark and probably close to 450 TQ.

It's the Harman Kardon audio system with Aluminum speaker covers. The covers are placed over the stock covers.

Ah, they look a lot like the Burmester covers in the Mercedes

 

A lot of people tend to think it's a Bermester sound system because of the covers. I really wanted the aluminum covers with the ///M logo but they are on back order. Bavsound makes a plug and play upgrade speaker component set for the standard HiFi and H.K systems. Only a few have done the upgrade and claim it's better but everyone's hearing to audio varies.

Got a performance reflash tune and some coding work at codemycar. Some coding work as followed

Disable auto start / stop

Enable tail gate to be closed with the key fob

Enable M graphics display at start up

Enable blind spot detection under 20 mph

Enable function to make cooler seats more cooler.

Enable Bang and Olufsen audio profile

And some other things.

While the world has gone nuts, the car guy in me is still doing my thing. Did a quick photoshoot today with the X3 M40i and the TL. Wifey ordered a fake "carbon fiber" M shift cover. I think it looks alright. We've put 30 miles on since the tune and it's definitely a different animal.

X3 DD, 918 for weekends

 

I don't know what will happen with the TL, as for the time being i'm not getting rid of it. If someone offers me what I'm asking, I'll sell it and put the money away. IF I was to get another vehicle as another TL, for sure an MK4 Supra.

 

Small update

Custom plates finally came in! I ordered from Amazon ///M style rear door sills. For whatever reason BMW never installed rear door sills on this generation X3. I'll install everything once it stops raining. Also, got something else coming from IND-Distribution in the next 2-3 weeks. Stay tuned.
