It says "Approaching red-light camera", then it will display the distance to the location. Then it says, "You have reached the marked location". Or something along those lines.

Search for my post... They did about 2 months ago. Nothing that major though. They added the ability to filter out the roads signs that provide false's. But it reduces the K pop coverage...I'm a bit annoyed at them too, but my V1 still works, & no tickets in a long time.
And honestly, I don't want all the fluff the escort has.

Even with the chat, I will never give up the directional alerts. I'm Austin, any detector will be of little or no use. The LEO always have their radars off, most tickets are given by LIDAR, and Jammers are a Class C misdemeanor. However, in the country, the V1 works miracles, especially in my county where the Sheriff always have their K bands blaring. The V1 has not only paid for itself in avoided tickets, but it also saved me from probable jail.

Arrows FTW.

You seem to know quite a bit about the V1...have any suggestions for programming the settings properly to not have so many false alerts? I just would like it to be "numbed" down a bit...

Audis are the only ones that set off my older 8500, My V1 gets it from many makes, along with some brake lights setting off the laser. My 9500ix seems to be immune thus far

Just hit up V1's website You can download the manual to program it.
Not much you can change that reduces false's though. Turn off X band if it's not used in your area(like I did) If you have the latest software you can turn on the traffic filter. (I didn't) Like I said, I rather it it goo off then not.
