It's called "Asymmetric Price Adjustment" It's a situation where prices respond instantly to oil price increases, but they just take their good ol' time responding when oil prices decrease. In other words - we're getting our eyes gouged out.

Sub-$3 gas is laughable; we'll never see it again, let alone in two months. Well, maybe Jimmy's Homebrew in Backwater USA, but not at a national level from reputable suppliers.

Premium is just under $4.00 here now. My boss who just drove his daughter back to college in Michigan said NC had the highest gas of any of the states they were in between here and there. And, of course, Charlotte was the highest in the state.

My dad saw 3.54 in SC and I heard some places in SC are as low as 3.30ish.

^Yep, that's what my boss was telling me...said he filled up around Spartanburg for $3.3X. He drove a little out of his way to do it, but since he was filling a Suburban, it was worth it.

$3.74 for 93 at the local Texaco. About 14 cents a gallon cheaper than other stations in the area. And better quality gas too.

I'm saving $8 a fill-up now versus say 5-6 weeks ago. Happy to keep that in my pocket.

$3.79 for premium here in south Georgia. In early July it was $4.29. At this rate, yes, the national average will be under $3/gallon inside of two months. You guys noticing the plummeting price of oil??????
