...dont worry they will get something worse out of life than a busted up ride... and this is why you must have full coverage on your ride...even if you own it outright!

I agree with all the others on that forum, looks like an insurance job to get out of car payments... The milk crate is hilarious though...

Shadyness or dumb thieves - airbags not being taken is weird. Why would they rip off the roof liner?

If it is an insurance job its the worst one I've seen, its probably not totaled! Unless they put sugar in the gas and toasted the engine too... Also a healthy keying would have probably put it over the age, but when trying to total a nearly $40k vehicle you have to step things up a bit, it probably only has $20k in damage

It seems like someone wanted some stuff from it ... but weird to think how amateurish the job is ... air bags not taken, calipers (easy to take off if you have the right tools). Seems reasonable to think it's an insurance scam but stuff like that ... seems it won't be a write off. At least have the decency to take the 'bags out and then roll it into the river or something!

(Makes me check outside to see if my G is still on the driveway ... )

Owner couldn't afford the car any more so (s)he hired someone to do this or did it him/herself to get out of the car.

^ Maybe the guy was trying to get rid of the car and payments because they were too high. Attempted to total the car so hed get a cheque from his insurance and get rid of the car.

Someone on the website did it. Browse around there, it's the worst site in the history of car fourms. YOu need to speak ebonics.

That website cracks me up. The fact that they have a whole section dedicated to members tracking their stolen cars and car parts makes me

Here's an example of the witty and intellectual posts made there:

Don't post any pics of your car on that site. Honesly just browse it. It's a bunch of thieves and if you are in the tri-state area they will strip/steal your car.

There are a few members/mods that are good but 90% are terrible. I use to be on the site since it was local, and a few of my friends were on it when we went racing late at night out east on deserted roads. It became flooded with questionable people. 2 of my friends had cars stripped. I was followed home a few times when I had my 94 GSR. I woke up to a flatbed sitting in front of my house with no info on the sides.

Does anyone pay attention anymore? The guy who posted this said this happened on his block, his location is Brooklyn NY not New Jersey!

The G37 is from New Jersey and was probably visiting, big mistake because when New Yorkers see out state plates you stand out like a soar thumb and all eyes are on your car. But most likely it was an insurance job.

Not saying New Jersey is a uptopia but come one, save the bashing on Jersey for when its needed.

P.S. since when is Maryland so great!??!

One word Baltimore!!!!

They rob cars in broad day light in that place! No shame, No class.

What a shame. Good ole Crooklyn NY for you. I held my breathe every night I stayed at my wife's place when she lived there. She asked me why I circled the block looking for spots and not taking ones across from the beat down building on the poor lit side street.

If it's an insurance job, then he is hoping that the insurance company totals the car.
