G35 sedan..

I must say that the G35 sedan is nice driver's car. Picked one up as a rental at Hertz. The engine and the tranny are definitely geared for driving fast.
Just not a big fan of the car design inside and out, but for 30,000 grand it's not that bad.
Still would get an 04 TL over this one.

Me too. I get Sedans as loaners when I go in for service on my Coupe. I love the Auto tranny, but the car overall could be more attractive.

For 30k it is an absolute steal. Why would anyone buy an Altima or Maxima is beyond me. Sad all the interiors are equal though. And the G35sedan is ugly as sin. But that is better than buying a GS 300/430 knock-off (Altima/Maxima).

The Maxima isnt a copy of the GS. The Altima doesnt look anything like any Lexus. In fact Lexus owners will never admit this, but the GS is a copy of the w210 E class.

Nice choice! How many miles?

If it's from Hertz, does that make it a rental? If it was a rental, how did you reassure yourself that it had been well cared for? As I recall, their servicie histories are up-to-date, but what about wear and tear?! Ex-rentals have some sweet prices, but I hesitate to buy one. Granted I don't beat on rentals, but there are some real horror stories out there.

That's why you can find Jaguars, Corvettes, and other nice cars there. Haters, you are.

i have never driven G35C AUTO before and i had G35S Auto as loander cars for manytimes... honestly,, the sedan auto acutally feels FASTER than my 6mt coupe, the Gearing is very very GOOD... it feels like a F1 tranny.. i mean the rpm goes up really fast and it changes gear VERY VERY FAST....

lol, only people who think the sedan is ugly are people with no class. The sedan is one of the best looking cars on the road today, and many reviews back me.

It does not lower resale. Get your facts straight Lexus owner. They just get better deals from Nissan/Infiniti for the cars. They aren't stuck up like Lexus. lol jk. The G35 has the best resale value over LEXUS right now and should for a long time.

The XKR is rather exotic don't you think? Don't be a all the time. There are other cars in the world besides yours (whatever it is).

By the way, a friend of mine owns a 1966 Shelby 350H. Know what the "H" stands for?

You can pretty much get just about any car from any of the top car rental agencies (i.e.: Hertz, Avis, Enterprise). You may just have to ask for it in advance, in some cases.

Sedan doesn't look good from the rear at all. And the TL's interior blows away the G35's in every respect.

I always rent from Hertz when I travel because I get a ridiculouis discount. The hight end cars at the ATL location are:

Navigator
All jags except for the convertible (Used to carry the XJ8 Sport)
Lincoln LS V8
Land Rover
G35

All I can think of

The rear is the best angle.

I always rent from National and recently AVIS. However, the last rental from AVIS in New Orleans was a Hyundai Elantra. I'm now back to National. I rented a PT Cruiser for Bike Week in Daytona.

I'm sorry but, the rearend is also the weakest styling point of the TL as well. When it first appeared, I mistaked it for the new Pontiac Grand Prix several times.

Acura spent the money on interior for the TL. Infiniti spent the money on the mechanical parts for the G35. I am just so sick of this G sedan vs. TL contest. Someone actually tries to step on other cars to raise up his/her own a bit.

Infiniti spent money on the interior also. It's just not as aesthetically pleasing and not nearly as useful as the TL. The quality of the G35 I have stands up against the best in this class.
I don't have either car so it really doesn't matter to me, but comparisons are inevitable, especially in this class because there is great demand for this class car.
