g35 coupe? c230 sedan? BMW 325ci? 350z?

i'm in the market for a new vehicle and i'm interested on this 4 cars.

I'm going to be looking at a c230 at a dealer in just a little bit to see the car... I looked at a 350z and g35c but havent test driven any.

A friend of mine has a 325ci..nice look and interior but the car doesnt have much power.

I Would like to receive some opinions to help me decide which car to buy and the reason why.

I do not need the car to take kids around, but i do have friends.
I will be driving the car alot to work and some short trips.

I went and looked at a c230 today... I was disappionted at the interior of the car wasnt as high quality as i thought except fo rthe leather seats.

but i love the exteiror look very classy as with the BMW.

I havent looked at a g35c yet but I looked at a 350z and its more of an all sports car...i like the ext look and the int. well...not as high quality but i'm not surprised.

I hope the g35c int. is much nicer than the 350z and up to scale with BMW. Then it would be a much easier choice for me

BMW 330Ci delivers excellent performance. The whole chassis is balanced wonderfully and the inline six motor is silky smooth with a broad powerband (hey, i should write for motor trend). Everyone is hot for the G35C, but I'm not all that crazy for its looks. Some say the interior isnt as great as it could be. I test drove both of these cars before buying my cl-s. The CL-S is hard to beat when it comes to value, its an excellent buy. Opt for the 6 spd and you'll have more than enough performance for daily driving. One more thing, seeing as how the CL will be cut from the lineup after '03, grab one now and you'll have a more exclusive car.

wanted my .02 cents? i gave you a quarter

g35 or CLS. I really like the Z but you mentioned that you weren't as excited about the interior. Its the sportiest of the bunch but the most spartan interior wise as well. I think the G35 will be better interior wise with only giving a little less on the sportiness side. The CLS might be better interior wise but not as sporty.

c230 and 325 are nice but not worth it. no balls.

forget the C230! Overpriced, underpowered, the car shakes, rattles, and rolls--literally

You can follow me to the G35 store in 3 months. My lease is up July 31 and that's where I'm headed. Beeyootiful car. I actually would love a BMW 330Ci 5MT but I hear nothing but bad about the dealers and the wait to get scheduled maintenance. I can't put up with that.

And you imediately went on the path to modification! I haven't seen your car since the PAA meet a year or so ago. I am curious what it looks like now.

EXACTLY. I'd buy a Honda Accord before I'd go anywhere near the bottom of the line Benzes. Bleh! Same with a 325.

First choice:G35 coupe, or
Second choice: 350Z.

You could still consider 325Ci I guess, although its engine is too weak compared with the 3.5L V6. But please don't buy a C30 Kompressor sedan, no way, unless you want to show off in front of people that you own a Benz, otherwise, there is no way this car can compete against the other three. I wouldn't even consider C240 or C320, this car has cheap looking interior and not so refinedly built.

Oh, for $27,800, you can also consider a Honda Accord EX V6 with navigation system, either the sedan or coupe, looks very nice.

#1 Pick: G35 Coupe
#2 Pick: 350z
#3 Pick: 325Ci
#4 Pick: C230

BMW and MB are overpriced for what you get in my opinion.

The Infiniti is a much better bang for the buck but the interior quality isn't up to par with the BMW or MB in my opinion.

I think RWD + Insane Power will be enough for you to overlook cheaper interior.

G35 coupe or Z car.

There's plenty of time left in your life for 4 door sedans where you WON'T have a choice

Yep, go with the G35. I'm just not sure there are any great deals on that car yet. I picked up my CL about two weeks after they hit the dealers. Acutally I test drove one that night too. Nice car but for the money and lease factor of the CL I could not pass that up. Also I'm in MN and I would have to get the winter tires right away. Great car but it did not do what I though it would for me. Probably becuase it was a cold crappy day out. Now the G35 drop-top. Yes, that would do it. By the time my CL lease is up, I'll take eaither the G35 drop-top or the new 2006 CL TYPE-R.

Good Luck.

My opinion, either the G35c or Z... Depends on whether you want a pure sports car, or a really sweet lux-coupe. If you care more about Lux, go with the G35.

I went with the Z because I wanted a more "raw" experience. I absolutely love the Z. Best car I have ever owned hands down.

I'm leaning towards the G35coupe... I want good preformance and luxury , so it sems like the car for me.....If i want to get a BMW it would be a 330 and it would be over my budget, 40k+, unless i can get it close to 35k.... or maybe still a 350z ( i love the mean and very sporty look).

I'll try to look at the g35c this week so I can make up my mind.
All dealers around here are selling it at MSRP no less or more. So I guess that woudnt be too bad since about 90% of the ppl that bouth a g35c paid atleast msrp or even more. Plus i want a 6spd...so far i'm looking at about 34,500 for a g35c 6spd w/ premium pkg unless i can be lucky and find one without prem pkg.

Do you know that if you get a 2003 WRX and put on a decent intake, 18" wheels and tires, exhaust and intercooler you would rule from an enthusiast standpoint? Forget the sti or evo 8 - too high priced. Like someone said before, just my twenty cents! I figure for under 28k, you could have a real ride! Not as luxurious, of course!

Just keep in mind that there are a TON of aftermarket mods being developed for the Z (plenum, ecu, FI...), much more so than the g35...many not necessarily compatible with the G35 even though the engines are almost identical..so you'll always be asking "Does that thing work on the G?" If you're looking to mod, you'll be much better off in the long run with the Z IMHO. I personally didn't like the interior of the G..a little too 'stuffy' for me. I like the more sportiness of the Z...plus i hate those stupid analog infiniti clocks (when are they finally gonna give up on that lame idea??)
Don't get me wrong...the G35 is a hot coupe; you can't go wrong with it..I just like the Z alot more, but maybe i'm biased .

Seems like you want mostly looks and prestige appeal.
I drove a lot of cars before I bought the CLS 6sp. Only considered manual shift coupes. Was not that impressed with the G35 coupe. I only drove the automatic but it was too small inside and low mid level interior. It and the Z both have great looks, but I want more than just looks and speed. THe CL offers more for the money in every area for me. I'm not a big racer or latest style follower and I don't want a smaller car. only other car I would seriously consider is the BMW 330 coupe, but it's $10k more and not worth it to me.
good luck.

I think i might be done with modding my car except for the basic lil things.... I want a car thats pretty nice from factory

123456SPEED your right , now i'm looking for looks and prestige appeal or else maybe a sti or evo would be in amy list. I would like to get a CLs but i had front wheels drives my whole life so I'm looking for a RWD this time. I actually think the CL and TL have a very nice interior and a nice motor.
