Dude, more than half the fucking cars on the road are loved for no reason. They're ugly, gas guzzling, pieces of shit, but people love them.

The G is classy, looks cool, built like a tank , and you can fuck in it. Plenty of reason to me.

I dig em. But I also dig plenty of other un-PC vehicles....Range Rover, H2, Land Bruiser, those nutty Kodiak monsters that are civilian big rigs with pickup beds on them

 

I like them and they are quick! I was taken back after I stomped on it and it chirped down into second...

 

Me Like never got the M class after seeing and driving one of these. They're just plain pimp or badass whatever you want and that's why they're awesome.

 

I see it purely as a status thing. I doubt any of the soccer moms I see driving them go off-roading. Maybe I'm jaded because the first ones I saw were in college driven by some Asian kids from north Jersey who were giant label whores.

I think people like the G Wagon because it's bold compared to what's on the road. Tall and boxy. It's what the hummer was before they consumerized it.

 

The H1 was no luxury ride.

 

I was trying to find the top gear test of the G55 with Richard Hammond, but failed. The G55 has a bit of everything in a sleek very cool package. Would I spend my money on one.. no.
