Let us know how the car does from a reliability standpoint.
That was a concern for me, but I'm happy to report that it's good from the forums I joined. Only a few minor things & some small interior issues. Also why I did not get a warranty. It's always a dice roll with those.
Look on forums. You can get a predator for near $240-270. That's about what I paid for mine.
Yeah I jumped the gun a little on that. I saw them after I bought a new one, but I did get a 180 t-stat included for my $333. Only mods panned so far.

I agree but there is something to take solace in with that fact.

So I had the car 4 days, & modded it
Installed a 180 tstat & a computer tune. I just gained 25HP & it took 20 minutes.

Did you set the Predator to know you have the 180 Tstat? Did you run a dyno to see the exact gain?

I know when I did the canned predator tune, I had some nice gain (never ran it on a dyno, though) I even got better mpg, hopefully, you'll see that advantage as well.

Now, that I am very far from stock, I have a full custom tune on the predator. I actually need to head to my performance shop for an update.

If you want to "tighten" up that suspension without out right affecting your ride quality....check out the SP Lowering springs and their chubby sways...Great shit.

Oh and their bullet intake is the best...I use it.

Dyno? Of course not, I picked the number out of the air.....lol
From what I read that's about the mid point for gains from others. Does feel quicker. Yes I adjust the fan settings. May need to play with them some more for my hot ass weather. Only lowered them by 15 all around. May go to 20.
I'm not touching the suspension. I'm fine with it as is. I'm not going mod crazy on this car. This was cheap & effective for gains.

Congrats!

Love the 300, especially the SRTs. The 300s design has held up well.

say it aint so....finally pulled the trigger. you were always an advocate on it not being worth selling/trading and that you will never get good value. Hate to lose you.

glad you enjoy your new car. great choice by the way. congrats.

And I didn't get much for it. But I had to weigh the costs of what was needed & the fact is was a old car with over 100K on it. It was a great car but everything started to break down on it after 100K. Axles, clutch, AC stuff, all the little things like bushings & ball joints, not cheap to replace on the Acura. Plus I already laid out $1600 for the timing belt & steering rack replacement. I should have got rid of it then before it ticked over 100K. I would have gotten more for it.

Well had it for 2 weeks & I'm loving it! Installed a low temp tstat, computer tune, hard wired in my V1 & my ipod adapter, Changed the grill to black & tinted the windows. Looks pretty good, I'm happy with it. Spent the last 2 weekends with some Zaino, got 6 coats on there.
My only problem is the damn brake dust. After 2 days my rims are covered in black & if they get wet it's a sloppy mess. But big brakes = big dust

Don't think I've seen a black 300C with a black grille, let alone an SRT-8. Looks quite sinister...

Just don't overdo the blacked out treatment please. It's your car, but I think it looks really good as is.

Yeah no more exterior mods planed. I like the way it is too.
Oh I also put in yellow fog light bulbs. Real ones that actually light the road. I'll have to get some night shots of them.

That grille looks 12489351892357.23^10 times better then the chrome one.

Id put some gun metal wheels on it and be done with it (maybe even paint the stock wheels gun metal).

Looks great!

Brake dust...those Brembos are notorious for it...switch out to ceramic pads...no more dust.

do they make clear side markers/turn signals for your car? although its very subtle, i think no orange on the front end would make it look that much better

That alone is a huge improvement.

As far as brake dust, I don't know if Akebono makes pads for that thing. I have them and the dust is minimal.

Centric Posi-Quiets brake pads would be my suggestion. Been my choice for brake pads on my last two cars because of their incredibly linear brake feel and very low brake dust.

Working on 1/4 mile, but for now here's a 4.30 0-60. The car has a built in timer. Not sure how accurate it is but it seemed pretty accurate by how the car ran. I repeated the 4.30 2 times.

sadly the timer is not accurate at all according to almost every owner. But even so...say its a full second off...5.3 aint shabby!

Looks lot better with the black grill.

About the brakes either powder coat the wheels gunmetal which would look nice and stealthy or get some Project Mu pads. My pads are horrible dusting same as yours 2-4 days later depending on the amount of driving and my wheels are black. Guys that have switched to the Project Mu pads say they have same stopping power but it takes almost 3 weeks for the wheels to get black.
