Let us know how the car does from a reliability standpoint.
Look on forums. You can get a predator for near $240-270. That's about what I paid for mine.
I know when I did the canned predator tune, I had some nice gain (never ran it on a dyno, though) I even got better mpg, hopefully, you'll see that advantage as well.
Now, that I am very far from stock, I have a full custom tune on the predator. I actually need to head to my performance shop for an update.
If you want to "tighten" up that suspension without out right affecting your ride quality....check out the SP Lowering springs and their chubby sways...Great shit.
Oh and their bullet intake is the best...I use it.

Dyno? Of course not, I picked the number out of the air.....lol
From what I read that's about the mid point for gains from others. Does feel quicker. Yes I adjust the fan settings. May need to play with them some more for my hot ass weather. Only lowered them by 15 all around. May go to 20.
I'm not touching the suspension. I'm fine with it as is. I'm not going mod crazy on this car. This was cheap & effective for gains.

say it aint so....finally pulled the trigger. you were always an advocate on it not being worth selling/trading and that you will never get good value. Hate to lose you.

Well had it for 2 weeks & I'm loving it! Installed a low temp tstat, computer tune, hard wired in my V1 & my ipod adapter, Changed the grill to black & tinted the windows. Looks pretty good, I'm happy with it. Spent the last 2 weekends with some Zaino, got 6 coats on there.
My only problem is the damn brake dust. After 2 days my rims are covered in black & if they get wet it's a sloppy mess. But big brakes = big dust

Yeah no more exterior mods planed. I like the way it is too.
Oh I also put in yellow fog light bulbs. Real ones that actually light the road. I'll have to get some night shots of them.

Centric Posi-Quiets brake pads would be my suggestion. Been my choice for brake pads on my last two cars because of their incredibly linear brake feel and very low brake dust.

Working on 1/4 mile, but for now here's a 4.30 0-60. The car has a built in timer. Not sure how accurate it is but it seemed pretty accurate by how the car ran. I repeated the 4.30 2 times.

About the brakes either powder coat the wheels gunmetal which would look nice and stealthy or get some Project Mu pads. My pads are horrible dusting same as yours 2-4 days later depending on the amount of driving and my wheels are black. Guys that have switched to the Project Mu pads say they have same stopping power but it takes almost 3 weeks for the wheels to get black.

.

The grille makes a hoooge difference.
