THe future of import tuning??

ive been thinkin about this lately. THe new cars of today will be the old cars of tommorow, the 92 240sxs, the old civic EKs, the engine swaps into the 15 year old japanese cars many people tune today....

will this even be possible in 15 years?? will we be swapping 03 accord v6 and oddysey engines into 2003 civics? will import tuning be as big in the future as it is today??

Good question. Let's make this a stick until 2020, then revisit.

Electric Motors.

Brushless set-ups, low wind armatures, that stuff. Think Electric R/C motors on a bigger scale.

It will be the same thing it is today no matter the technology. Todays cars will be cheap in 7 years and that will lead to people picking them up and modifying them.

I think import tuning has declined since pre-FATF times when cops went nuts on us. I notice that all the shops I used to go to closed. Plus I hardly see rice like before.

Better batteries too... We just have to wait for the technology to catch up...

Either that or fuel cells... Someone has to come up with a cheap way of getting hydrogen out of water...

you should be banned from this site. using your moderator powers to fulfill personal agendas. and yet i see you posting threads about selling marijuana and hooking people up. i did not say a single thing that warranted my banning.

yea im pretty sure this will be happening. but i was wondering if it would be easier or even possible? imagine how advanced engines are these days. the good old days of swapping all kinds of motors into all kinds of cars are going to pretty much be gone. hopefully auto fabrication itself will advance. i liked what i saw when top secret twin turboed a regular g35. maybe ill be teaching my kid how to do this when that car is considered "old school"

Personal agenda? Do I know you from off the site? No. The reason there are moderators is to keep things civil on the site, you broke the rules multiple times. Thats it...there is no personal agenda. You shouldn't have posted racist shit.

Just like we see people moding older 240sx's, civics, sentras, f bods, vettes, we will see the same trend in the future. We wont be around long enough to see a significant change in automobiles. 10 years from now, people will be picking up c5's, 350zs, g35 coupes, civics, and shit. Cars like the 6 speed cl will be rare and wanted my a few hardcore honda enthusiasts.
