will the real Rockstar please stand up

love ya boff !!!

OP, what about a 3G TL? Its no Corvette but still

You can get a 2004-2005 6MT, 120-130K miles WITH NAVI for under 10K....v6, great gas mileage....

here, 2005 6MT 130K, NAVI, ASPEC Package, Very good condition, KBB private party value is $9,211...am sure with some negotiation, you can get em for mid-8K....imagine one without NAVI and Aspec package, you will spend about 7K and one in Auto, about 6K

I've never understood how the 3G TL, especially in 6MT trim isn't on everyone's radar for a great and reliable daily driver. Even the maintenance items you'll need to address are not mission critical.

Meaning, your transportation woes will be over and you can get even a mistreated one back into tip top shape in due time.

i thought we were talking about fun/sporty car?

If you can find a good s2000 for 10k, go for it. but i doubt it.

or build a reliable K20 car with 10k.

6MT TL can be fun...

hell, I have seen high mileage 6MT TL-S to be around 12-13K...not bad IMO

I guess your definition of fun and mine are not the same.

The FWD mid size car is physically impossible (race car excluded) to be as nimble/fun as a proper RWD light weight sports car.

a modded TL 6mt is more fun than stock 6mt. but if we are talking about the real fun.. then it is not it.

Just because you have both, does not mean you have to lie to yourself.

yup that would mean i am right.

i literally stop driving my Accord when i got my s2000, raining days or not. Just can't stand it anymore. I know TL 6mt is not accord but when comparing to s2000, they are all the same.

I vote RSX-S or GTI. Go with a MKV (2006+) if you get the VW, though.

Or... EP3?

Not as quick as an RSX-S, and probably much more tempting to mod but a good option IMO.

ooonoowaitdoe

i mean oooh no, I wasnt trying to say the TL would be as much fun to drive as a RWD light weight sports car....then again, the Vette/Mustang is not light but its still fun to drive right ?

either way, I think "fun" is a person preference....

some might define fun as a lightweight RWD car, some might define it as convertible, some as a FAST FAST FAST car, some prefer the heavier Challenger/Charger, some prefer to just pull all windows and sunroof down of a classic e39 540i and for some fun is driving the car and not spending time trying to 'fix' it...

plus, a ford focus ST is a 4 door, FWD, I bet that IS fun to drive (PS its not a race car either)

I just wanted to list the 3g TL option out for the OP since its a decent fun to drive car with very low maintenance and all for about 6-8K...

Fwd or not, my 6 speed accord coupe was fun as shit.

Rwd is great for kicking the ass end out in my S... But that's pretty much it if your comparing to daily use.

Don't go around a 55mph turn at 100mph in a fwd and you won't have any problems.

I want on so many spirited drives down windy roads in my accord and it was an absolute blast.

If your trying to be a drift king in one, then no, it isn't fun.

Side note:
Even though my S2k is a few tenths faster down a strip, my accord felt faster rowing through gears and just had balls from low speeds I don't feel in the S2k...

Now up top.. Forget it lol. Though 140 in the accord didn't take as long as you'd think...

I agree with all of the above...
Unless you know how to use the RWD, it does nothing but turn white underwear brown.

FWD in the TL is still pretty damn fun, but there is something about the top being down and the way the transmission feels in the S once it's warmed up...it makes you sad to reach your destination.

I feel the torque more in the TL, it feels nice.
I feel how light the S is, even when just first accelerating from a light, it glides.

only if you rented from Budget....they top the blinker fluid off so the CAR runs soooo awesome....

Avis and others are cheap as fawk and they do not top off the blinker fluid, so it runs like shit !!!

I raced a rental Prius from budget with a rental Mustang V8 from Avis and the Prius totally smoked the Mustang....it felt like the mustang wasnt trying to race at all....soo awesome....

Yes, unless you are from America, your accent will ALWAYS be modified...

The 2G TL-S was a beast back in its day. If only they made it in a 6MT. The CL-S LSD 6MT is underrated outside of the Honda community.

I remember taking the bone stock TL along for canyon runs. I learned what brake fade was firsthand
