I can’t afford to tell Elon to fuck off right now. But when we had to replace my wife’s car last month we went with a different EV.

I’ll keep my Y until I can hopefully dump for it for a Rivian R2 in the future.

No way I was buying a Tesla. Number 1- ELON MUSK. Number 2- ELON MUSK. 3- When Boeing puts the artificial horizon out of the line of sight of the pilot, I'll get a car with the essential display out of the line of sight too. Meanwhile. I drive looking straight and that's how I'll check my speed, etc.
Took delivery of the ZDX yesterday. Great highway cruiser, comfortable, enough hard controls to make driving normal and not hunting for screen controls to open the glove box or adjust mirrors. Several quirks and the app is useless, some great interior choices and some cheap GM parts. Overall, incentives made it a great lease deal. Too bad it doesn't have 3 rows like my MDX, which is the same size.

Nice! The i4 is a really nice ride! Did you get the dual motor one?

And agreed, fuck Musk. Glad I bailed out of Tesla.

RWD. No need for AWD down here and the driving just felt better

I remember when my Dad liked Tesla until Elon started aligning with certain political leaders.
Then all of a suddent he panel gaps and build quality started annoying him too.

Fuck electric, but if you're gonna...that's a pretty one.

Cheers.

So far i love it. the ride is much more luxurious and refined than our Tesla. It's the edrive40 so it's a bit slower than our teslas but at the same time I really do love just how luxurious everything about it is.

Just got it back from tints. This thing is just miles ahead of the Teslas in fit and finish and it's extremely efficient. Having a dashboard is awesome. the 2025 model has updated headlights and toned down front kidney grilles. The camera Nav is truly amazing and CarPlay is a must-have, IMHO.

Nice. I had one of those for a loaner when my M2 was in the shop and really liked it. Definitely agree with your comments about fit and finish being worlds better than Tesla.

I don't really miss Apple Car Play though. Don't have it in the Rivian but do in the other cars and I don't really care that it's missing. The Rivian infotainment system does everything CP does and does it better in an integrated fashion so it makes zero sense to me to have it. The systems in the BMW and Subaru are trash though so CarPlay is a must for those two.

Yeah I don't think daily driving a 911 RSR will make you very happy.

Telsas dont suck. I still maintain they still are one of the best EVs out there. But I never really did defend Musk, and now I definitely don't defend the sack of dicks. And with the list of options finally growing, I won't buy another one.

Fair and I would agree, they were the best EV in my opinion and still are one of the best but like you said, options are growing. That being said, it blows my mind that any public figure, not in politics, discloses their political views like this. You can say that's Elon but it happens on both sides and it's wild.

Agreed. Teslas don’t suck. I own one. That being said, this car is a much better drive experience than my Model 3 ever was. Even down on the torque, the RWD is just much more fun and the car is more than fast enough.

Apparently the all new Model 3 Performance fixes all of that and is being widely hailed for the upgrades, especially to its suspension.

But that said....I won't buy another Tesla at this point sadly. Got my wife the ioniq 5...she likes it. Overall it does a great job, but I dont love the drive compared to the Y. BUT the Ioniq 5N is supposed to be batshit crazy good. Id been doing a lot of reading on it, and It just took R&T performance EV of the year for under $100g beating out the model 3, i5 m60, Mach-E rally. etc

question you need to ask yourself, how much did they pay all those magazines. We all know the real #1 is the Nissan Leaf.

So today a friend asked repeatedly if I wanted a ride in his CyberDouche truck. "No thanks, no disrespect but I just don't like those." "How about getting in and checking it out?" "Not to be an asshole but I don't want any of my car loving friends to see me even getting out of one of those things." He took my comments in stride and said it was all right.

It definitely takes a different personality to buy one of those dumpsters.

There's a guy on my street who recently bought one.

My spouse and I refer to him as the "local douche" because he tends to park his truck in front of other people's townhouses (on-street parallel parking), especially when there's snow.

Problem is it's a great car, imo. It's everything being associated with it thats becoming the problem.

I'm guessing they are selling a lot of those stickers. Rivian should start selling them as official ones haha.
