steve, here's a stock LS2 dyno for you, I picked one that was about in the middle of the #'s i've seen, i've seen from high 330's to low 360's on completely stock LS2's. This gives you an idea of what you are workin w/

btw, Steve, I still can't believe how much attention this car gets, I constantly get the thumbs up from drivers and have been stopped 2x's now at the grocery store w/ people asking me "is that really what I think it is"

I love cars!
They're planning a complete redesign for 2007, so get 'em while they're hot! Next gen will be based on the RWD Zeta platform that will also be the basis for the new Camaro. But will they go backward from 400 hp?

actually, they say the next GTO is axed
and that the new camaro will no longer be produced on the Zeta platform. Next camaro will have the 400 HP LS2, but they plan on tweeking it to be like the new hemi's where it'll only run on half the cylinders around town, etc.

I think you may be right. Now that I double-check my source, it was from 2003, and I *have* heard since that the Zeta platform is dead. However, with the release of the new Camaro concept, surely there'll be a Pontiac sibling, regardless of platform. How can the "Performance Division" go without?

Been reading up on paint chipping and peeling problems for the '04 GTOS.
Looks like the '05's have problems too (easily chipped paint on front bumper) as well as peeling paint on door handles and other weird paint related anomalies all over the car.
Everything minus the chipping is able to be fixed under warranty however.

unfortunately, all cars have paint problems these days, I've been doing a new bentley coupe for a family friend the last few months, i've slowly noticed a ton or chips and hte paint is peeling on the rear fender. Car is waiting for a Bentley representitive to come look at it

Chips cant be avoided though.... I have a ton.

seems all the leaking problems were resolved on 06's, none report leaks. It also seems the leaking problems are a lot more rare then they seem to be. As far as chips, I have a few rock chips already, but that's expected w/ the freeways I drive on. When I had gotten my acura repainted the front bumper was basically ruined w/in a month. I really wish I had putten a clear bra on this car on day one

I just ran a modded cobra vert, guy had a pulley, exhaust and intake. We were dead even from 60-120. First time I had gone WOT into 4th, fucking thing chirped 
Some guys on ls1gto.com went tot he track this weekend, stock 05's were in high 12's w/ DR's. One guy w/ just a muffler delete and DR's ran 12.5

Conflicting reports....Road&Track's article about the upcoming Camaro says there WILL be a next GTO, while I believe it was Motor Trend that recently said the Goat is definitely dead. The Camaro concept is actually based on teh GTO, R&T says. Strange.
