Flipster23 turns into an old man?
*Please excuse the big picture. I'm having issues re sizing.*
I've driven cars a majority of my life, couple of trucks and an SUV. Having 3 kids all under the age of 5 in a Ford Explorer with a small cramped 3rd row, you get the idea. Getting into the 2nd row having to climb over into the 3rd row was getting old. My 4 year old can buckle himself, my 3 year old is still learning. I never thought the day would come where my wife and I would agree on a van. With only a handful of vans out there, we narrowed it down to a 2015+ Odyssey or Sienna SE premium. Didn't like the looks of the Pacifica, Sienna SE were still pricey even being used and I feel like I have a curse with Toyota since all Toyota's I have owned were totaled out. So that left us to Odyssey. My wife wanted a 15-17 (previous gen) because the cool box and other little features. That was until she saw that the new Odyssey's have sliding side to side 2nd row seats. She was sold and I never pass on the opportunity to buy a new car. I have a go to Honda dealer that we usually go to because I know the management team there. I did a couple online quotes and my dealer still came in less. When I got there, they even knocked more off of the van.
So here it is, soccer mom van, lose man cred award. This shit is versatile and works!

Shitty dealer pic. I'll get better pictures this week.

Congratulations on the ride! Was just messing around with the features on a new Odyssey Elite yesterday with a friend. Man I love these things. Last gens were absolutely bullet proof. We had one we beat the living piss out of and still couldn't get it to break (150k HARD miles). I hope this generation is the same. I'll be particularly interested in seeing how you like the new transmission. I'm not a fan of anything over 6 gears, but there isn't really anything you can do about that.
I also don't think you're losing your man card. Shit, with 280hp you'll be smoking a lot of things out on the road.

Sweet!! This was what I was after before getting the Sienna SE. It's a fantastic van. Enjoy the infinite amount of cargo room.
Honestly with kids, getting a minivan was the best thing ever. Can haul literally everything.

Now buy my truck & regain some of your man card
I'd have no problem with a van for our family, but my wife would rather walk.

Congrats! Thank you for finally finding that the van is the best mode of transportation for moving you and your brood anywhere in the country.
I love vans, they are the best at what they do bar none. If you don't need to tow heavy, get a van and you won't be disappointed. My parents had a 2006 Oddy for 12 years and it ran like a swiss watch the whole time. Enjoy it!

Nice pickup. Nothing beats a van with 3+ kids. We have a white 2013 Ody and I love it. My SIL just got the exact one you got.
So the 2nd row seats slide all the way over if the jump seat is out? If so that's really handy. I can fit full 4x8 sheets in the back with the middle seats out. Actually when all the seats are out it moves pretty well.

I forgot to suggest to get the liner mats. I think our are Husky and they are awesome, especially in the winter. Honda also has their own. We also have those seat organizers in front of each kids seat. Obviously they store their books etc. but they also protect the seats in front of them. My kids tend to put their feet on the seat in front of them to push themselves back in their car seat so they can buckle in.

Congrats on the van!
Is this the trim package that comes with it's own vacuum?

I think it's only the Touring or Elite that gets the vacuum, but could be wrong.

What happens if an adult is back there? Or would they simply not fit?
Is it limited to a certain height in the back? Just seems odd you'd have to remove the headrest for anyone over 6 years of age... Seems that would be more dangerous.

There's a fully loaded Toyota Sienna in my neighborhood... Slightly lowered, dark grey body, riding on what appear to be 22" metallic red wheels. Not gonna lie, the thing looks gangster.

LOL!
Hey, if that headrest can be raised high enough to work for an adult, that's some brilliant thinking by Honda. I wonder how wobbly the headrest would be when fully extended though. Flippy!!!! Let us know!!!
Also, where are those new photos your promised?!
