Fix the dents?
Fix the dents?
I have a buddy who has an '05 F-150. About two weeks ago, he got caught in a hail storm in CT and it dented up his truck a bit. The dents are real small, and can really only be seen from an angle. The largest is probably .25 of an inch wide and the hood took the brunt of the damage. The paint did not chip from what I can see, the sheet metal only dented a very little bit.
His insurance inspected it and said they would cut him a check for $850 to have it fixed, he pays a $100 deductible and the truck comes back dentless. He's worried with the dents that the paint is now more suseptible to chipping, eventually rusting but he would rather not fix it if he doesn't have to.
So my question is: Would the paint chip more easily now because of the dents? Also, if it were you, would you get it fixed or pocket the cash?
Thanks guys.

+1 take it to Dent Doctors and get a quote. My CL was riddled with door dings on both sides and the took them all out for $175. Can't even tell they were ever there. Pocket the rest.
