Acura engineers gave the Type-S firmer shock settings, increased spring rates and added larger 17-inch wheels with P250/50R Michelin MXM4 tires
am I reading that right ?? 250/50r michelin?? i thought they would have the same 215/50/17 tires?

the article mentioned an integra type-s...huh?
and also mentioned that the tl-s gets "17-inch wheels with P250/50R Michelin MXM4"
don't we have 215s?
i'm still trying to figure out why no one mentions the cl...without knowing better, one would think that the tl-s was the first -s car, considering i haven't seen the cl mentioned in any tl-s previews/introductions (yet they can mention the nsx and integra).

yeah, I'd have to agree with you there...and I'm also sure that 250 is a missprint for the tire size also...

i remember seeing another review...all it mentioned was the tl s-type (the s-type can do this, the s-type can do that, blah blah blah; i was beginning to think i was reading about jags) throughout the whole article. (but then again, it never mentioned the cl s-type OR type-s either).

Actually, the Integra Type S is not a typo. It is, in fact, coming out as one of three variants for the Integra. The base Integra is rated at 200hp whereas the type S will be rated at 215hp. I read this on some site somewhere, but I don't remember which one. As soon as I come across it again, I will post a link to it so you guys can see for yourself

Please don't anyone try to correct all the misinformation in this silly article. I like driving a car that most people don't know anything about. I especially like not having a car that has a high performance reputation.
May I suggest removing your 3.2 CL or 3.2 CL-S badges to further confuse the general public?
Articles like this one seem to follow the dumbbell party line about the CL-S established by CAR & DRIVER. The prevailing attitude seems to be summed up by the doltish last line:
"Somehow, by focusing so intensely on making the perfect car, Acura lost sight of making a great car."
Let's keep the CL-S exclusive to serious drivers possessing the intelligence to read a line like that and have their V-1 bullsh*t detectors go on full alert.

Well, I couldn't find the original site where I got the integra(oops, sorry I meant RS-X ) info but I did manage to find something similar where it's posted that "The March issue of Motor Trend reports that the RS-X will originally come in 2 trim levels: the 160 hp base & the 200 hp Type S, with the 215 hp Type R joining in 2003."
go to this site to check it out

My only question is how you can call the Type S engine a "decent engine". There is probably no better V6 out there and aside from the straight 6 in the M3 there aren't many better 6's PERIOD!!! And I don't think the true verdict is in yet on how well the M3 engine is going to hold up. Lots of problems on that front.
