First mods to the Cobra.....

Borla Exhaust....the best $550 you can spend on this car! Theres supposedly a 15-25 hp gain from the Bolra Stingers on an 03-04 Cobra.

I replaced the running pony withe the Cobra grille.

I agree...most of the Cobras here in Houston are being driven like yugos...I have never heard one "get down"!!!

I wish I knew how to do a sound clip and post it! It sounds really good, similar to older muscle cars....I love it!

Have you thought about that hypertech programmer?? They had a cobra on horsepower TV and did a baseline dyno, then a dyno after they put the programmer in. It added over 40HP to the wheels. The cobra was putting out a bit over 400 at the wheels. All stock, and just the programmer. They added pulleys after, but the gains weren't as significant.

I bet that car hauls!!!

If you mess with the computer....the warranty is in Jeapordy! I could get a programmer for $350-400, a smaller supercharger pulley and idler for $300 and a CAI for $200 and I should be at around 425-450 hp at the wheels! But I have to wait for the warranty to expire

are they that strict that you can't upgrade the intake at least without voiding the warranty?

It depends how anal the dealership is. For sure though as soon as you replace the pulley the engine warranty is in jeopardy.

I kinda doubt they would turn down a warranty claim for a CAI, but any type of chip/programmer I'd say your engine warranty is done.

Borla makes very very nice systems. Kinda pricey, but you get what you pay for. Why havent you got a baseline on it yet to see the amount of hp the mods give?

My dad has a Lightning and a superchips programmer. When he takes the truck in for service, he puts the stock program back in. He also put in a #4 lower pulley on the truck. With the two mods, I could not believe the difference!! It was crazy, which makes me think it would be even crazier in your car!! Especially for the $$. But, i'm sure your car is plenty fast as is.

My dealer and I have a good relationship....$10 handshake her....$20 there, they like me I don't think a CAI and Cat-back is a big deal, but the chip is. I heard that if they want to go deep enough, the computer can be scanned to see if it was EVER tampered with....its just something I don't want to do...nor do I need to do. I probably have about 375-390 rear wheel HP....thats plenty!

19" Axis Hagens +45 offset. Then I sent them to www.goodrichtechnology.com and the "black chromed" them for $575 plus shipping. I may have them do my Cobra wheels this winter.

very very nice. I love cobras. its looks good, and i know it flies.

around here, people take cobras and try to make them look like V-6's. I cant tell you how many Cobra's I've seen with regular grilles and emblems, and some even take the back bumper off that says 'cobra' and replace it with the one that just says 'mustang'.
