After having the car for 4 months, I finally got around to having the windows tinted last week. I chose 3M's FX-HP tint and went with 35% all around. I went with 35% because it's illegal to have tint on the two front windows and I didn't want to have an uneven look between front and back windows. Hopefully the cops won't bother me too much since it is not extremely dark, but I'm prepared to pay a fine just in case.

 

Tint always makes a car look great. Although yours did not any help looking good, love the new G35's

The new G35 IMHO is above everything in class in terms of exterior looks...You chose a very nice colour which I have never seen in person but I bet it's simply stunning in person...It really looks like a quality vehicle. I wonder if it still has that deep exhaust note that made grown men cry(it's me)it had on the generation before. It's still a very nice choice you made

Ur car is smoking hot!!! Ur car looks nice with tints. I love the new G35's. I have a white car and i want to get it tinted but i dont think my car will look nice with tints. i think having tints on a white car makes the car look old and dirty.

 

After looking at it again, I'm really not feeling the tail lights (how the stick out on the sides) and how there are "humps" on the side of the hood.

 

should gone little darker... but still looks great.

 

Actually, I think tint on a white car looks extremely nice. Makes it look sportier IMO.

I honestly wanted to go a little darker than 35% but I didnt because:

1. It is illegal here (as in most places) to have the two front windows tinted.
2. I didnt want to have two different shades of tint between front/back windows. Having them uniform looks better IMO.
3. I didn't want to have them so dark that I would attract unwanted attention to myself.

My last G35 I had 20% on the 3 rear windows and 50% on the front windows. It looked ok, but I like the same shade tint all around much better. If you went with 35% all around like I did, there is a good chance that you won't be bothered .......but there is always that chance.

 

What's your next mod Garnet?

Hmmm, good question. I would have to say a front lip spoiler will be the next mod I get. Unfortunately they aren't available in North America yet so I will have to wait.

I just had my first child four weeks ago so unfortunately mods aren't first priority anymore.

 

A front lip spoiler like this is what I would like to add next. Just have to wait for availability here in North America.

the shape the side profile of that silver G35 looks a bit A4/A6 ish. But, that's all good I love the G35, actually Infiniti all as a brand.

After seeing the Infiniti press conference of the new G37 and the upcoming Ex, Infiniti is heading in the right direction. Where is Acura??

Well I can obviously only answer for myself............but for me it is the combination of fantastic styling (subjective), awesome performance, great interior, lots of tech gadgets, and a great price. To me, this car is best in class overall.
