FINALLY bought a car!

I just bought a 2005 Acura RL with 6,000 miles. I put a deposit down today and will pay the rest when I pick up. The deal was too good to pass up. I've always wanted a black car, will be a challenge to keep clean, but looking forward to it. No mods planned, other then a tint, and maybe a small lip spoiler. I'm flying out to get it later this week, and then driving back. It's nighthawk black exterior and taupe interior.

Actual pics of the car:

Some stock pics from Acura's site:

guys, is it me..or does the interior not look taupe? I've compared this interior to taupe on some other ads and it seems lighter? Is it truly taupe?

here is a taupe:

Here is the actual car I bought, seems more like ebony?

Looks like a taupe interior to me --- photos were just taken without direct sun on the interior, so it's in shadow (and looks darker). This is based on looking at some of the pics you linked to compare to the ebay pics, not the pics you posted directly.

What would the seller gain from blatantly posting the wrong colour interior?

Nice choice! The RL looks quite classy. I, too, thought the interior looked dark, but then realized it's a shadow and probably is taupe.

Where are you picking her up?

Yes. Up to 2006 the wood was real. Then 2007 for the base you get fake wood.

Aww crap. Sorry to hear that synth19. Those pics of the RL had been over the keyboard.

I'd like to get an 06 RL Tech with A-Spec, NBP with the sand interior.

Okay guys, the dealer is insisting the car is fine. The original owner returned the car secondary to issues with the headlights. It was then returned to Acura, headlights were replaced, and then put on the market again.... What do you guys think? He's faxing the documentation over right now that explains this... I'll have to see it before I make a decision...

if that was indeed the issue, I'd say get him to knock a bit more off the price, and then go for it.

Wow, nice man! Only $34.5K? That's pretty low resale though on an RL that's only a yr old.

Also, you got 2 cars that are 100% Made in Japan.

Oh oops, I just read your update, dang that sucks.

Got the fax from the dealership. Hesent the Minnesota disclosure of nonconformity:

"The vehicle was returned to the manufacturer because it did not conform to the manufacturer's express warreanty and the nonconformity was not cured within a reasonable time as provided by Minnesota Law"

All necessary repairs and adjustments have been made and the vehicle meets tacceptable operating standards. The vehicle was alleged to have the following noncomformities:

ineffective head ligths

It was then signed by someone from American Honda Motor Co.
