He's mentioned before that he's a big fan of overpowered golf carts, just not ones made by a company run by an egotistical douchebag for a CEO. For which I'd totally agree.

In short, nothing. Tesla makes for the easiest point of entry into the EV world. It has the easiest buying, shortest wait times, easiest charging, etc along with an easy to use interface. For those exploring if EV life can work for them, a Tesla is the way to do it and still is today. Once you've figured that out, the world is your oyster and one can/should start looking at other options as well.

I wouldn't buy another Tesla but am not upset that I got one to begin with. It's a great gateway drug.

I'm already eyeing my next EV as well - and it will not be another Tesla.

Funny how all the Tesla owners aren't considering another one lol.

I guess @Sarlacc hasn't weighed in yet on that one...but the rest of us it's true.

Mine's a Ryobi
And just went from a mildly efficient I4 to a thirsty 6.2l V8

I would totally get another Tesla. But the price increases are ridiculous. And while my wife likes driving it she still can't stand a fully touchscreen car. She likes her buttons. I think the Kia/Hyundai are probably the best choices right now for a regular commuter car, and the Tesla is still the best all around option for a road trip/hauling vehicle.

I've always been a fan of Rivian, even despite their fuck ups. The RS1 would be a great family hauler and hopefully as charging networks open up, great for road trips, too. We have yet to see what the Lightning will do for the segment. I like the Mach-E but only 5 sec at full power/pedal down is bullshit. BMW? I'm excited my buddy is getting an i4. But BMW is back to being over priced with little to put them over the competition. And now they are trying more of that "subscription" crap like $18 a month for heated seats? Fuck them.

By the time I can even think about getting another EV I'm hoping Alfa Romeo and Dodge will have offerings to compare with.

So, I still maintain for several reasons that Tesla is the best all around EV option in today's market. I keep waiting for that to change but everyone is still playing catch up for the moment. Interior space, charging network, and outright speed.

I didn't even know they made a plaid X...
I know they are faster...I'm just not there yet.
Hellcats like to have their asses eaten anyway.
