The Veyron wasn't fortunate enough to end up in a lake. It ended up in Galveston Bay. Fresh water is a lot more friendly to electronics than salt water. I saw two articles about this Enzo. One said lake, one said Atlantic Ocean.

Salt water, I grew up around that area. It's the shallow end of a commercial harbour used by the offshore oil industry.

Jeez, how many Enzo's are even left now that most owners have managed to wreck them? It's great that some can take it in stride, but it is such a rare car at the same time.

This is an Enzo made to look like an FXX. It doesn't have the better of traction controls.

Also ironic that this is named an Edo Enzo XX Evolution and Edo means "bay entrance".
