ok, I can play this game too...... how about a supercharged Gen1 Viper GTS, 0-200 mph in 20 sec. Total cost, something like 100k. have you seen the vid?

I wasn't saying buy the others instead of the Ferrari, I was just stating a few cars AND the Ferrari are all considerably cheaper than the Bugatti mentioned...
Adding another to the mix: a Lingenfelter TT 427 Vette - I dunno all the numbers but I remember 100-150mph in just over five seconds. 1/4 mile is just a shade faster than a stock C5 ZO6 as the car can't get any traction, so that probably puts 0-150 at like 15 or so seconds.

It had almost identical lap times as the Carrera GT at the Nurburgring, a $500,000 supercar.

yea F430 and Z06 are in the same league now.... with the edge going to the Z06 at a track - roadcourse or dragstrip.

the 360CS with wieght reduction is close to the F430. the F430 is still very fast. to me it out handels and is faster then the vette. i've been in a 360 and 430 and a vette. thats my opinion. but it comes down to driver in the end. take it or leave it, i don't care, it my opinion.

The Z06 would trounce the F430 on a road course, were it not for the more track-oriented suspension on the Ferrari and the MR layout, which is inherently better for going around corners. That 8500 RPM redline in the F430 is no joke, either. Given equal drivers, I'd put my money on the Z06 since it's lighter, has slightly more hp and is massively more powerful off the line (torque).

In the pantydropping factor though the corvette comes in many places below the 360 or 430. The ferrari gets 16.3 panties dropped/sec compared to 4.2 in the Z06. The corvette is just too much of a joe shmoe car.
