favorite stock exhaust note
Yep, a solid lifter cam in a classic American V8 is pure music to the ear.. especially if the engine is equipped with headers. That seems to enhance the sounds of the solids. Also small blocks, because of they have less metal in their short blocks, tend to radiate the sound even more. Like the '67 and up Z28 Camaro. Nice idle there.
I'm doing good, thanks. Not too fond of seeing winter heading our way, but every day you can wake up and get moving is a good day and a gift. How's it for you up where you are? Getting snow yet?

I probably agree that the CGT is #1, but the F50 isn't far behind, if at all...

This has a nice note also! I guess it's a dubbed vid by the comments.

I'm not a fan of a raspy, buzzy sounding six cylinder engine, foreign or domestic. I prefer the gut sound of a V8 engine and in particular, an American V8. There's just something about them that seems to define a sound and a moment.
Ford's done a super job with there current crop of Mustang V8's. Very nice note from a factory exhaust. The two model Corvettes I mentioned are deeply imbedded within my brain. At the time, there was just nothing like that sound in a stock machine. It exuded power and because of what was under the hood, they could back up that sound with action.

^^I'm the exact opposite. I don't really care for the sound of a V8 (except the F430). I like the sound of engines in multiples of three (I3, V6, V12). They just sound more sophisticated and expensive to me....

Speaking of ye olde american V8s, my favorite sounding one has to be from the 440 six pack 'cuda I drove a few months back
