I've driven a lot of fast cars, or should I say cars that have potential to be fast, but they were always customers cars and I treated them with respect and NEVER drove any of them fast. The car with the greatest potential to go fast that I've driven was a 04 or 05 Gallardo. The fastest car I've driven fast in was a friends SL65

It appears most of you people are confusing "fastest" with acceleration. The two are mutually exclusive.

Fastest means top speed. Quickest means acceleration. Big difference in the meaning of these two words.

I think this may be asking too much of Acuraziners.

My personal entry here is an Audi R8.

What, haven't everyone drove one of those? They are on every street corner. And I know the owners are just dying to let 19 year old kids drive them.

Fastest car would either be a super charged race prepped but street legal NSX or a 08 911 turbo. I know the Turbo bangs out at about 186mph, not sure what the SC NSX could do if given the opportunity.

The car that I've driven the fastest is a 97 Prelude

Yeah thing was sick! Love the look too, tight If your gonna own a 300, the SRT8 is the only way to go, assuming you can find one.

actually, at the time I posted that... I forgot to mention a couple things... when I got to drive the Brabus SL55, I was rather hesitant because it was a client's car and we were going to lunch, she asked me if I wanted to drive, and I said "sure". But I didn't exactly get to drive it like it's meant to be driven.

BUT, actually... one of the fastest cars I've even driven was a VERY modded Evolve S60R. In fact... back in feb. of 07' before I bought the FX, I was shopping around, and was checking out the S60R's.... I answered an ad that turned out to be Evolve's company car, being sold by the Owner (Don, I believe was his name). I went to the location, we got in the car, he drove first... I didn't even know he was the founder/owner of Evolve at the time until I asked him what he did in the company. Anyway, then it was my turn to drive and again... I was a bit hesitant... but he told me to just "let it rip and see what it's got". Anyways, he was a lot better at shifting gears than I was, when he got back in... he pushed it to the limit and BOY! That thing was fast as hell... naturally, it had every imaginable mod... he told me that it can take on a M5 and I can believe it.

I ended up not buying the Evolve S60R because of several reasons... for one thing, it was obviously the test car for all the mods, so I'm sure they've pushed it to it's limits more times than I care to know... the warranty was about to be up, he kept assuring me that I'd be able to buy an extended warranty with the Volvo dealership around the corner, but with all those mods.... it was just too hard to believe... and last but not least... the leather was beat... all around, front seats AND back as well... I don't know what da hell they do with the car, it only had like 28k miles on it... yet the leather looked like a 10 year old car. Even the guys over at swedespeed.com advised me not to buy it

but that thing was fast as hell, I think I've posted pics before
