Lightbulb EWB Brakes

Interesting acticle on the speedtv.com web site about EWB electronic wedge brakes.

http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto...hnology/33760/

Thoughts and opinions on electronic brakes.
So I was wondering with all electric with no hydraulics if they'd use a fail safe that applies the brakes if the electrics cut out, but if it happens in the midst of a lane change it would be catastrophic. Might be safer to have just the ebrake as a fail safe. Benz was also working on an EWB system but was pulled due to reliability issues. No doubt we'll see these on all cars since less parts are needed, more fuel efficient and cheaper to manufacture.
