Yikes, high payment! Sweet car though, would of gotten the turbo myself. Or waited to see what engine they throw into it next year. Word is the Sonata Turbo engine might make its way into it.

My bet is it'll last two and a half years before you get the itch again

I hope not, I really need to stop switching cars, I think this car will be different as I will be modding it.

Congrats on the new car. Post more pics.

Oof! on the cost and payments.

That's one crazy expensive little Hyundai.

Mine seems a bit faster than it should, if I may say so. It has the pull of a high 13 second car, I thought it would be a tad bit slower in top end, but it pulls. Best part is I'm not sure if they even put 93 octane, so there may be some room for improvement.

Also I plan to make this my Gen Coupe thread winter boots are coming on by next week, hopefully, and then we'll get the exhaust within 3 weeks, I'm hoping.

But to reiterate those were my anticipated payments. So as long as it's within my expected price range it's okay.

But emotionally an E92 M3 or S5 would have kept you happier for longer.

First mod is snow tires, then exhaust, then front CF lip, then rear CF diffuser, then wheels, and a drop if I move and can evade having to scrap going into my driveway.

My interior shots are too good, but it's just so you can get an idea. Besides I'm using a 5.1Mpxl camera phone.

What's this big black area for?
Is this an optional display that's not on you car?
...but then again there is a display below it...

It's for all the indicator lights, i.e. fog light indicator, CEL, TPMS, Parking Brake, etc.

I came from the DSG, and the difference in shift times is nearly non-existant. This transmission shifts smoothly and rapidly, although here and there you can notice the gear change.

Thanks!

Tonight for the first time ever I saw two fellow Gen Coupers. Both were black, I was quite pleased and of course we all smiled at each other.

Very nice ride. It's if I can be so indulged.

As far as free detailing, I would only do this if you really trust the detailer / dealer. I don't let anyone touch my car. I do the detail work, so I can only get mad at myself it is screwed up.

Speaking of, how is the quality of paint (clear coat, any orange peel)? It's one of the very few complaints I have concerning my car. It's OK, but it is soft, so it can be easily scratched.

Haven't noticed any particular issues with that to be honest, although I've been very gentle with my car.

Alright everyone, I've had the car for a week, almost 500 mi., which is quite a bit considering I usually drive 1K~1.5K a mo.

That notwithstanding I am looking to pick up a set of headers, here are the options, which of these do you feel will flow the best?

Ark Performance:

CP-E:

Maintec:

System Upgrade:

Thanks for the help.

Exhaust coming soon!

Updates! (1/6/2011)

Ordered the Injen exhaust a few days ago, it should be shipped out soon. Here is a clip of said exhaust.
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zSomOtbZ5S0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zSomOtbZ5S0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I also ordered the Ark downpipes with testpipes, they're essential a pipe that bridges the CBE to the Headers.

And finally I got these bad boys in the mail today!

Here is a new pic of my car.

This car looks so good in white. I see a yellow one everyday, but saw a white one last night...much better looking.

Thanks, I enjoy driving the car and I do get quite a few looks as well.

I did, however, curb my front passenger wheel last night, ugh I cringed once I heard the noise. It wasn't even fair I was pretty far from the curb but when I angled the wheel left it scraped ever so slighlty on the wheel.

Now I'm definitely considering new wheels.
