my brother has a oldsmobile intruge and starting about a couple of months ago the car just starts to shut off whenever it wants, no it has nothin to do wit temp, bec it somtimes has slick starts in the coldest of weathers and somtimes wont starts at all. but the scariest thing is that somtimes it just stalls when he is crusing on the highway and has happened when i was in the car once. i was thinkin about the fuel injectors so my bro put the fuels injector cleaner in which helped a lil but the random stalling just still happens. u guys have any suggestions?

-he fills up at all of the pop. gas stations(shell etc..)
-uses 87 octane(suggested for his car)
-rarely ever brings it above 5000 rpm(7000rpm redline)
-it rarely pings before it shuts off, it just stops, no sounds, nothin, dash just lights up and has to restart
-overall it sounds fine and runs fine
-when he lets the car idle the whole fills up with a lil excessive gas smell(normal i think)
-maybe fuel pickup prob?

P.S. the dealer is a b!tch bec they just keep sayin "could not duplicate the prob" and charges him 50bux and gives him a caviler. o ya my bro cant get a new car anytims soon and needs help asap
