Well normally with money orders you write them out to the person or business they are going too. I personally dont like using money orders, would rather deal in cash with a in person payment or use a credit card so if they dont send my junk I just call Visa up and have them take the money back.

Lol. If you're paying 31.25$ for it, you're definitely not getting a cold air intake.

I don't like money orders either... They usually take too long and you're never sure they reached the seller until they notify you.

Try and hook-up a PayPal account to your bank account. Before I had a credit card that's how I used to do it...

If you use a Postal Money and mail it to them, then you have the Postal Inspector as backing if something happens. They love that shit. Plus the back the money order not some bank.

Actually I did have one bad experience with USPS money orders..

I once got one for $420. I took it to one post office, they said "oh we cant cash that, we never have that much money. You're going to need to go to a bigger location that does more business."
So alright, I take it to a large post office that I know does lots of business.
I wait in line for like 15 minutes, finally get up there.
The girl looks at it for a minute, then says she needs to go see whoever was in charge. So I wait there for a few minutes, she comes back and says she can't cash it
She says her manager or whoever says it's no good. So I ask to speak with him, he comes out looking at me like I'm a creep.
He has a badge hanging from around his neck, and proceeds to explain to me that it's not a real money order, because some number makes no sense. I don't know, some BS about locations and ID numbers..
So whatever, I get out of there and figure they're just idiots, and I head to another post office. I wait for about 5 minutes, and I get the same "We don't do enough business to cash that." I ask them about the code that the other place says didn't make sense. They said it was perfectly fine, and were going to look into why teh other place said it was wrong. They seemed just as confused as I was about it.
They told me I can just go to my bank and cash it, so that's what I did, with no problem from them.

Moral of the story: Cash money orders at your bank.

^ As I'm reading your story I'm wondering why you went from PO to PO when you could just cash it at your bank.

I'm glad you finally got there

Well I was down here at school, and my bank is nowhere in the area.
I tried a different bank down here and they basically told me I was stupid for trying to cash it there.
So I had to drive about 90 minutes to go cash this summabitch.
But it was $420

Not to dump on your parade, but a $30 CAI is likely worthless in terms of quality.
At the very least, use the cheap tube you just bought and invest in a better filter cause I can promise you the filter you're going to get is going to be shit.

I see you have a 97 CL 2.2 w/ 140k miles...not too bad for a 16 yr. old if you treat her right.

As far as I'm concerned, tubing is tubing as long as you connect it properly when it comes to CAI's, though I'm sure others have a different opinion.

But please, do your car a favor and at least get a quality 3' filter. I can tell just by looking at the pic on eBay that it is garbage. Keep in mind a good reusable filter is more than $30 itself.

In the future, save yourself the headaches of second rate parts and get quality brand name stuff, it's not just me being a brand-snob, you really do get what you pay for.

I paid $150 for my Injen CAI and that was used!

Best of luck.

The stupidest shit you could ever do.
Unless you run a business where you get a lot of checks and obviously can't go to each bank there is no way in hell I would ever cash a money order off of my account. Want to know why? Well with checks and money orders the bank will take them, give you your money, send them to the feds, the fed then sends them to their bank, that bank then says ok and gives your bank back the money they gave you. This process can take 2 weeks, to a month if the Federal Reserve is busy. SOOOOO by that time you gave them their item and that customer is gone. A month later the Post OFFice or whatever bank the money order is written off of says its fake. Your bank takes the money from you...if you don't have the money they make your account negative...if you have family that you are joint on they will take the money from them.

Moral of the story, ALWAYS cash checks and money orders from the bank they are written off of. That way that bank can verify the money right away instead of your bank finding out 2 weeks later.

LOL, I wouldn't say it's "the stupidest shit you could ever do"
I'm familiar with everything in your post. And no, I wouldn't suggest cashing money orders from unknown persons at your own bank. It was more of a joke stemming from the run-around I got than actual advice.
That's why my first post was "I love postal money orders."
And remember, I'm only talking about money orders from the Post Office... not just some person's bank... so your suggestion of cashing it at their bank (which can be impossible in the case of local banks, like mine) isn't really pertinent if we are sticking with the context of PO MOs.
The guy I got that PO money order from was my best friend while he was in another state.
I've sent and received dozens of PO money orders, all of which were cashed at the PO.
This one occurrence was particularly frustrating though.

Between the business and eBay I've cashed countless postal money orders over the years at the bank and never had a problem with any of them ever.

Yeah most dont run into the problem but I did risk management for a credit union and in my eyes it happened all the time, since I saw it all day, but might have actually been only 1 percent. The money orders we got that were fake were usually given to individuals, not to businesses. Plenty of times someone would get scammed with a fake money order and we would have to recoup it out of their account and they would get pissed.

I am surprised you have never had a canceled check, or return check though. Because I am sure it wasn't for a few days to a week till you found out unless the bank you use has connections with other banks, some do, to check right away if the check is good or bad.

I am just saying as a consumer with no business I would take it to their bank which I always do.

Yeah I didn't mean to sound so dramatic I am just obsessed with this shit since I would get yelled at everyday for it. You are right though about the taking it from someone you might not know. Example of my daily conversation...

"Hello"
Yeah you took money out of my wife and my kids accounts
"Sir you cashed a $2000 money order and it came back as fake"
I don't care what it came back as, you fucking put that money back
"Sir if you still have the cash you can redeposit it, we only took the money from you because you didn't have the funds in your account"
FUCK YOU! MY WIFE CAN'T GET GAS! MY KIDS NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL! FUCK THIS SHIT YOU ARE MY BANK YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT ME!
"Sorry sir but the money order was fake theres nothing we can do, maybe you can contact the person who gave it to you"
I already did they won't answer it was for a $50 item I bought online, he gave me $100 and I sent him back $1900.
"Sir thats a well known scam"

It's probably just a cheap tube. I actually but something like that for my old 99 Camry 4 cyl. a couple years back. Mine was only $20. It actually fit fine but it did have a cheap filter. I don't know if I really gained anything in regards to performance but it sure sounded mean. I made a few people go when I gunned it every once in a while.

My friend with a 96 Accord Ex has a no-brand intake like this one, and just got a better filter. But like the other members said, it kinda looks cheap, works fine tho.

this intake is fine, ive installed many aem intakes, the only ones that are actually better are the aem v2 because how thick the metal is and the design of it. this intake will be fine. sending a money order is risky but if you get one with a stub you should be fine. no the intake is not a scam, look at his reviews and he most likely won't rip you off if you do a ebay transaction.

Ever occur to you that this is not really AEM but a ripoff?
