it was a procharger sc...when they are working well/tuned right they're nice, but they've killed a few VQ's (sounds like tuning problems rather than a product problem)...i think i'll wait till the other guys work out the bugs
.
.
Here's the guy's post. He has alot more than just the procharger (sig at the end):
Procharged getting faster, and first kill Video
I installed the the procharger friday. I tuned the car and was really impressed with the performance. Only problem Im having is with the brake pedal (see my other post) Anyways, as I drove more and more the car, the car just started feeling faster. Im seeing boost increase a little faster also. I believe it must be the procharger starting to break in decreasing some friction, making the blower build boost a little better. Anyone else notice this the first couple of miles?
Heres also the story of my first kill, luckly it was against a new M3.
Cars:
ATI Procharged 350z, Borla Dual exhaust & Headers. Driver and Passenger.
2003 SMG M3 coupe stock, Driver and Passenger.
First race was from a dig. Im still learning to launch the car with the procharger so I got MAYOR wheelspin on 1 and 2 gear (stock worn out radials). Check out the top end though...
Second race was a 1st gear roll. I gave the M3 the jump.
Hope you enjoy, right click "download and save as"

Wow... that pulled harder in 3rd and 4th than I ever pulled on an M3 (with the turbo)!
That will be a tough car to beat... damn! Probably will run high 12's on street-tires and mid-to-low 12's on slicks.

Supercharger on an engine that has 11:1 compression? Sounds ominous. In any case, it's run-what-ya'-brung, and as of now the M3 got owned.

Think about it. Whatever you can do to your CL-S you can pretty much do the VQ35, the one big advantage being the 350z aftermarket is growing exponentially both here and in Japan.. I'm not dissing the CL-S or Acura at all; I think the CL-S is a beautiful car and it has a lot of innate and realized potential. I just think that there are a lot of companies focusing on the Z right now, and I don't see that trend dissipating anytime soon. All that competition and focus= good for the consumer.

true...but with a total investment of 55k for the car (conservatively, new) and probably upwards of 8k for this sc. The Z can be had new for 30k plus 6 to 7k for the sc. not saying i don't love m3's (cus most here know i do) but the performance for the buck for an FI Z wins in handling and power....many more FI packages to come for the Z also. Point is, the z has alot of potential for what it costs and comparing a 63k dollar car with a 37k dollar car is kinda unfair.
