E46 M3 Residuals (Curiosity)

I was curious if anyone had heard what the residuals are for an E46 M3?

I just wanted to see what they'd be worth after 24/36 months and whether or not I could afford one then =)

TIA!

My best guess would be about $45k after 24 months and perhaps $40k after 36.

I don't know what the residuals are, but the new M3 leases like shit......you can lease an M5 for less (no joke), I'm thinking the car has a descent residual- nothing crazy, but the dealers are using a ridiculous interest rate (because they can on the M3 at the moment).

i think it may have something to do with how desirable a used one would be.

i, personally, wouldn't buy a used m3 or s2000 or any car that was designed to have the crap driven out of it, even if the manufacturer says that it'll hold up because it was designed for it.

probably why cam-cords have such good residuals...it's probably less likely to break down because the previous owner was your mom.
