That's actually pretty good for an automatic - just under 20%. Some automatics lose up to 25% or more.

How does that compare to your old CL numbers? Is it odd that the torque is only 3lbft less than the HP? If you look at about 20% loss torque should be around 186.

I don't remember what the stock torque numbers should be. I think the old dyno you had with crippen showed 223.8hp and only 189.5lbft.

Ah, I'm confused now.

Oh, I see. The max torque numbers were just from a spike at the beginning of the graph.

Oh man :0

Astroboy,
So what's the mileage on the TL?? Aren't you going to break it in again before sticking all the mods back in??

It makes me wonder if the TLs really do point a little more hp then the cls.

yup, that is a BONE STOCK run...
I had just turned 1500km's...I broke the car in very gently....much much moreso than my CL-S...I imagine I'll make more power with this car than I did with the CL-S with the same mods..
I never did a baseline in my CL so I don't know what it would have been stock...
it should be noted that the torque figure really is only about 185ft/lbs at around 3500RPMs...the first part where it is higher is only torque convertor lock up...

I would say that at least 20% is average,,,and 25% is normal for parasitic loss of power thru an automatic...

How did you get to dyno it with the rpms so low? Everytime I dynoed my car, they could never get it to dyno anything below 4k rpm.

The TLS loses over 20% in the drive train. Not under.

21.423077% or so.

I think we tried it, and right when you hit the gas it owuld automatically shift to a lower gear. I dont even remember what gear they used for the dyno. I'll take it again =)
