Dyno with my new exhaust (PICS!!)

Just got my injen exhaust, and I've very satisfied with the looks and sound. I think the sound is NICE... it's definitely louder then stock! I couldnt go any louder, and I cant believe people dont think this is loud enough! Maybe I'm getting old.. lol Anyways, this was done at Genesis Racing and Development ( www.grdperformance.com ). I bought their slightly used injen exhaust since they just got the APS exhaust in.

We did about 4 dyno runs each with the stock exhaust (no engine performance mods at all), and then an additional 4 more runs with the injen. I was happy with the gains (although minimal). We did quite a few runs because of various variables. The engine just needed time to warm up. Each run got progressively better. We talked about it and it's possible the numbers were affected by 1. not driving the car for about 2 months, and 2. winter gas. But like I said, I'm just happy I did NOT lose hp or torque as reported in some other thread. I'm sure I would have better numbers without the variables mentioned. Attached is the baseline and injen exhuast dyno's comparrisons.

I'll have better pics of the car soon....

Dyno charts:

In case you guys are wondering about the dyno we used:

Wow...that is the Injen SAS exhaust? I wouldn't have thought the gains were even that much, but I was wrong.

Certainly cheaper than Stillen.
Got any other mods planned? Is that your only mod (engine/intake/exhaust wise)?

Those are very respectable numbers...

I've got an '05 G35c on order and have been looking at mods.

I really here good stuff about the JW Popcharger thing, but I love the sound of the CAI and may just stick with an Injen or Nismo intake. My woman is asking me to wait before spending too much money (meaning, s/c, turbo, etc), but I am thinking intake/headers/exhaust right off. I really like the way the Injen system looks...

my advice is to realy think about your long term plans. If you do go FI in the future, you'll have to get rid of the intake and headers....just something to consider.

The intake I knew, but the headers? No headers on the G35c with the s/c?

Nice gains, I too am surprised that you gained that much from just an exhaust. My friend was considering the borla exhaust on his Z.

I can't be 100% sure since I dont own a G35...but I'm almost positive. Maybe check some g35c forums and see what they say, I'm curious to know too. thanx

I like the borla, it's nice and sounds good. It just has way too many parts!

He won't be installing it anyway. He's not exactly mechanically inclined.

Found a webpage for this exhaust.
http://www.300zxstore.com/in35exsseni3.html

I'm not sure if I like how the exhaust seems to be "too" short.
