Drove a few acura's today

I work at King Acura here in Birmingham and got to drive a few cars today around to the other side of the lot...
NSX, RDX, TSX, TL, MDX, and RL...NSX of course was the most fun but the RDX impressed me the most...the low end torque and the sound of the turbo is awesome...it also has a very noticable pressure release system similar to a blow off valve that sounds amazing...i would love to have one of these cars..the TSX nice but underpowered....the TL, best car acura makes...RL very torqey down low..its fun working here haha

You got all that by driving the cars in the parking lot?

No offense, but the guys who drive the cars around the lots at the dealership piss me off...

I remember a couple months back, I was driving through the lot looking at the new MDX's and out of the blue, a service guy comes RACING around the corner in a TSX that was in for service and slams on the brakes, missing me by inches. I called the dealership after that asking them if this is what I should expect when my vechile is in for service. Obviously the service manager denied it but when I see that you got to do all of this with just driving the cars around the lot, it just solidifies my anger. I bring my vehicle in for service and expect to get it back unharmed when in fact, the service guys are beating the shit out of it in the back lot... Sorry for the rant, it just makes me angry.

Nothing new, something tells me that most of us on this board would shit a brick if we had a camera installed on our ride when it went in for service.

Actually a couple of cameras (one that shows the interior and one that shows the forward view) wouldn't be a bad idea. You could activate it everytime it goes in for service...or when the wife/GF takes it for a shopping trip.

me and my dad took a new 6 speed TL type S out, it's got some balls to it but i thought it would have more. me and my dad both drove it, we are pretty good freinds with the guys down there and thy just give us the keys and say see you in a bit. turn of the vsa and it turns into a best, drop the clutch at 7k and spin all the way through first. it's pretty quick up to 120. it was a good day at acura.

That's why you try your hardest to get one with (as close as possible) zero miles on it.

Nothing like taking a green engine to its breaking point so you can smell burning rubber.

Drop the clutch at 7k????? Were you trying to snap an axle or break the tranny?

There is nothing cooler than seeing a front wheel drive car peel out and have some nice wheel hop. You and your dad must have looked like two idiots in that car.

me and my dad are both car guys, he has owned his own speed shop years ago and created some monsters. now he's a lawyer that owns a big mortgage company that i work in which is based all on commission and i do make a good deal of moeny myself while going to school full time. we buy alot of cars from acura and also the other dealrships owned by the same organization and refer people over there. we are really good freinds with the guys at acura and they just give us the keys and say have fun. the typeS was thier demo car. my dad has drvien many highpowerd cars and knows how to drive them and so have i, i've gone through driving schools and courses. we test drive our cars but we bring them to the back roads in the middle of the woods where no one is around. i'm not trying to come off as i'm better then anyone, we know alot of people and have alot of connections. take it for whats its worth, i only posted my experiance,, and a car is ment to driven and if it's take care of it, it won't matter hard you drive it. and i hate internet e-wars. if i post half the stuff i've driven not one of you would probably believe it, plus i don't do it because whats the point in my eyes??ok i'm done writing take whatever i said how ever you guys want it.

I want to drive an NSX so bad, but would probably be sweating if I asked to drive one at a delaership, they would see right through my mouth watering excitement. I told my wife someday, somehow I will own an NSX, it will probably be far down the road though, but in the future the NSX will still look awesome, timeless designs never go out of style.

Why do people think the NSX is some type of untouchable car?

You can find them used for $30-40k and they arent even that fast. Great thing about the NSX is that its a drivable super car. Im sure some average can be comfortable driving it around the city just fine.

Try that with a viper or somthing.

I don't think anyone would say anything about you and your family having money and are able to buy nice things. You're not the only one on this site.

What people were responding to is how could a true "car guy", yes abuse, a car like that.

What would your friends at Acura have said if you brought the car back on a tow truck??
