drove the 360 spider today!!!
the car is beautiful, the cluster is not all that great but when you see a ferarri...everythings nice. interior is pretty neat too...
i drove a black on red 360 spider. it was automatic with the F-1 gearbox.
when the car is in auto, car still feels like its stick. theres a shift delay between shifts. and it has the feeling of riding the clutch a little bit when moving from a red light. the rpm goes up and then comes back down. when i was using the paddle shifter, the car screamed in every gear. even at 6th gear just cruising, if i punch it, the car still hauls ass.
this car is hell of a machine. i was actually scared to take it up to 8500rpm. i took it up to 6 and the exhaust and engine was screaming. (btw im in hong kong, where the roads are very small)
but this sure was an experience for an 18 year old.
i was a little scared driving on the other side of the road at first, but after i got used to it, it was kinda fun. i did scrape the underbody going over a speed bump...my dad almost ripped my head off
guess i wont be able to experience stuff like this until i buy my own

it was the first time seeing it because he has it in his office for his clients and stuff, but he brought it home for the weekend because i told him i wanted to experience how a ferrari drives, and i got back to hong kong only like a week ago, so i never had a chance to check it out at the office

there are so many nice cars in hk. if you are in a parking garage, 8/10 cars are german's finest. (benz and bmw...etc.) i have seen at least 5 ferraris in the past week i have been back.
i saw a lambo diablo(98?) driving next to us yesterday when we were entering the tunnel in the 360, neither of us had no intensions of racing, it was just kinda cool

actaully thats pretty true
in tokyo expensive cars are everywhere....i just talked to my brother whos in tokyo right now, says he sees about 3 ferraris and bentleys every day, not to mention the amount of mbz and bmws over there, and all the high class japanese cars like the nissan cima (m45) and toyota crown deluxe (ls430) that are EVERYWHERE

yea...but its different over here
the tax on cars is over 100% (107% as i recall)so a 50,000 car will cost well over 100k
they also make lower models here. IE: they have Benz E240 as to the lowest 320 in the US
they also make a 730i, as opposed to 750i they make now
they make lower models to compensate the cost of the car after tax. thats why there are a lot of nice cars here, but if u look closely, theyre all mostly smaller engines than the US

Yes, you can find a lot of the most expensive exotics in HK Island. But from places like Tuen Mun(where I grew up)the only cars you can see are Daihatsus and Isuzus.
i think that car looks even better with the steering wheel on the right side, you don't see many RHD ferrari's. if i was buying one in the states, id buy that exact car, freakin beautiful!
i believe those are factory bbs's. it has a special emblem on the side skirt, forgot what it says, but maybe its a special package. first i was really scared driving on the right side. but after like 5 minutes, i opened her up. if you take this puppy to redline(8500) you can hear the engine/exhaust from 3 blocks away.
the exhaust has a nasty raspy noise at cold startup though. not that i care or anything. if its warmed up, it sounds amazing.
i gotta ask my dad if i can take it out one last time before i leave. he said he was selling it because he put a down payment on a new one, he doesnt know which one because his partner did it. its a 2 years wait, its prob the f430 i highly doubt its the enzo, i would fukin flip out if it was though.
you really cant appreciate this kind of car until u really get to drive it. i used to think that ferrari's/lambos are overpriced cars. i still kinda think they are but since i didnt pay for it, it was worth every penny of gas i squirted into the cylinders.

F430 or Enzo, you are one lucky guy.

It's not the Enzo. They made 399, and you can't just put a "deposit" on one, they've all been sold to people invited to purchase by Ferrari.
It's either the 612, or the F430.
I remember following a 360 Modena through a tunnel near the Golden Gate Bridge. It was winter time and I opened the sunroof as we hit the tunnel. My wife thought I was nuts because it was cold. I just told her: "Listen, he's going to open it up in the tunnel" Sure enough he downshifted and all you heard was the distinctive Ferrari wail. She turned to me and said "How did you know he was going to do that?" I just said: "I would have done the same thing!"
yea i know im very lucky, i try not to take it for granted. im even very lucky to drive a 35k car as my first car. my dad wouldnt let me get a used car so new cars were my only option.
it doesnt even matter which one he got, im just very lucky to drive one at the age of 18, as the matter of fact, to sit in one at 18.
we had to go through the tunnel to get to the suburbs, and i did the same exact thing. who doesnt do it?? lol it sounds so sick. when we were on the way back home, we were just driving and a diablo vt passed us, just cruising though. me and my dad both laughed because i told my dad, the next car i wanna drive is the mucialago.
