Hey guys,

As many people over from Ramblings know, I am a cameraman for film and television.

I just wanted to let you all know about the new TV series I am currently working on. As, a matter of fact I have been on the road for the last 5 weeks filming this show. I did the pilot back in Nov, and that is what is airing this Wed night at 10pm/9 Central.

The show is called "The Drive" and it will air on CMT. Now, I know CMT is the last channel people watch, but this show is actually quite good. Its a documentary series following 7 drivers from the hooters procup and ASA stock car race circuit. I figured I'd tell you all about it, cause, well, its about fast cars and racing. Its also about these amazing people behind the wheel and what they have to go through to try and live their dreams.

You dont have to be a NASCAR fan to enjoy this show, I certaintly am not, though I do enjoy these races now since I've learned so much about it.

All I ask is you guys give it a shot and leave me some feedback, now I'm not a producer, just a cameraman, but I love to hear feedback on projects.

Haha I am one of the cameramen. You see everything I do.

For that episode I shot everything with Michael Ritch, Most of David Stover, and some of Michelle and Sarah.

Same for the Second Episode. For 3 on I shot Zach and Davin and some of Mike Herman and Sarah. And Michelle.

Ive been with all the drivers, i know what footage is mine for the most part, but a lot of footage gets intercut with every other operators footage.

My questions to those that watched, is what did you think? like it or no?

 

Next time, give us the heads up a day or two before the show airs (and post in Ramblings please)....

I saw the commercial last night!!

 

It's recorded on my ReplayTV unit.
I'll watch it sometime this weekend.

 

Yeah I need to watch it....I forgot about it then saw the commercial and was like...woah, sarlacc filmed that! Its called Driven:Nascar2003 or something right?

 

I watched it and it was a decent show. I don't recall any of the individual's names but something about that former track champion/pawn shop dude annoyed me.

Also, the young girl from Atlanta, I could have sworn that the footage of her family, when she got the call to try out, was taken in the Marietta square. There was also a quick shot in her high school and it looked familiar. What part of Atlanta is she from??

I watched it. Pretty good. Not that big of a NASCAR fan but it's a good story. That Davin guy's girlfriend is annoying.

 

I agree but then again, putting that piece out there may not have been the best decision.

 

Yeah it was a turd. I can't wait to see how that good lookin' girl does when she test drives for the big race team.

Michelle Theirault is from Alpharetta. But that scene was shot in a park in Lakeland, Fl where she tested the car for the team.

As for the Pawn shop guy, Mike Herman, hes okay. I didnt really like him at first but hes just a good ol boy and pretty cool.

Susan and Davin are really nice and yes they always go at it like that, its actually really fucking funny to watch cause it gets ridiculous.

 

I figured it was nearby. Alpharetta is about ten minutes away from me.

 

So when is the next show coming on?

 

Regular time slot is now Fridays at 9pm (previous episode) and 10pm (new episode)
