I get about 7-8 mpg That's a loaded 7 liter cat with about 600,000 on it.

now to the orginal poster:
It's not hard to put a million miles on a rig.
like i've been driving for about 5 years. i'd say i'm up around (for semis) 600,000-700,000 miles i've driven since i started driving semi.
If you drive for company you'll put 100-150,000 on a rig a year. I only average about 100,000 but that's cause I own my own rig and I don't push myself as hard as the managers for large trucking firms.
I talked with 2 truck drivers at a truck stop they "tag team" the driving. meaning one drives 11 hours the other can legally drive 11 hours a day. anyhow last year they drove 300,000 miles combined.
they say every 3 years the company they run for gives them a new rig cause the rig they have the motor toast.

Three Wheelin'
My grandfather worked for Air Products. one of his primary runs was to Cape Canaveral with gasses for the space shuttle. He had almost 2 million miles just with that one company.
