Did some sprints with 2 SLS's

Sorry, no pics. But was certainly a fun commute this morning! Did some spirited driving alongside a silver SLS coupe on A1A (outside of Star Island). There are a lot of tourists going well under the speed limit snapping photos of the cruise liners, so it was a fight between me and the SLS to get through traffic.

Low and behold, some big black guy, looking like Rick Ross, shows up in a red SLS vert. It was basically the vert VS the coupe, and my slow ass IS 250.

There are 3 coupes (silver/black/white) that frequent A1A at that time. And yesterday, I saw the red vert parked on SoBe, so I have a feeling either the black or white SLS owner must have traded in his coupe to a vert.

They were both torque monsters on the highway...and the SLS looks great in vert form, since its all body, no top, and a behemoth of a hood.

Anyway -- all I have to report...Cool story, bro?

ahh...the SLS AMG vert was rented...Red on red, with familiar plate #

http://americanluxuryrental.com/car/...onvertible/87/

$11k/week...ugh...

and the silver SLS coupe could have been rented too...http://americanluxuryrental.com/car/...s.amg/54/#cars

damnit...maybe that explains why these SLSs are being driven in the morning from the mainland rental shop, across A1A, into SoBe

Nice, had a similar experience but with a white 997 turbo, few days ago. I was cruising on the 110N heading towards downtown, sun roof open, feeling the wind breeze...All of a sudden, from the corner of my mirror I see this super sitted white turbo blasting through road like a bat out of hell. The freeway was somewhat open, with just a few cars scattered about, as it was gliding past those cars effortlessly, it then pulled up to my car (TSX v6), and the thing literally catapulted from 65 to 95 in a split second, A SPLIT SECOND! I tried to follow, floored my car to 80, but it was already gone by then, a speck from my view. Just for reference, my buddy drives a modded 350z, and when we accelerate from a roll, he can only get away from me by 3-4 car lengths, but the turbo was whole another story. I honestly cant think of any stock car that could keep up with one besides maybe a GTR, and other 6 figure super cars.

Let me tell you though, it has put the fear of god in me since.

True, and I seriously don't condone that type of driving on any sort of public road possibly endangering yours or other peoples lives, but as I said...Freeway was open, and I only hit 80 if that, before the 911 disappeared on me.

Coming home with my RL from AL @ 1 am on the 12-16 lane Katy freeway (I-10 West of Houston), I was passed by a Mustang GT, Cobra or Saleen I assume, as if I was parked, and I was going 80. Dude had to be going 160+.

I barely had enough time to look for potential outs if his dumbass lost control. Luckily, there was at least 8 lanes of concrete for him to be an idiot on.
