Dealer Screwed Up, Do I Have to Pay???

Ok so I took my truck to the dealership. They did some repairs, found something else wrong, fixed that, found something else, etc…$5000 and a month later I get it back and it had some fresh dents and scratches that they said would be fixed for free. I drive 40-50 miles and it broke down. It went back to the dealer, and they found another $2000 worth of repairs related to things they supposedly fixed the week before. If I had known it would cost that much to begin with I wouldn’t have bothered to fix anything. Another month later I spoke with the manager and the service advisor and they both said my total cost was $220. I picked up my truck and paid the cashier $220 and was on my way. Now, 3 weeks later, I got a call from the manager saying they screwed up the paperwork and they need to collect the balance. So do I have to go back and pay or can I tell them to eat the difference since they screwed up?

If the dealer calls again, this is how the conversation should be:

The dealer: Mr Cls6, When should we expect you to pay the remaining difference.

You: how much is it?

The dealer: $xxx.

You: I already paid. CASH, MOTHERFKER.

The dealer: No you didn't.

You: Prove it! *hang up*

They can't just change an invoice after the fact. Screw them!

Next the dealership will call you and say they screwed up the paperwork from when you bought your truck and you need to pay them $2000 more!

If dealership did the work and got your authorization for it, you are responsible for the bill. Just because they made clerical error on the balance, will not relieve you from paying it.

I thought about that too, but as I said a lot of these repairs were related to repairs made just a week before which they obviously did a half ass job on the first time. Also, I spoke with the manager and service advisor the day I picked it up, and now the manager is saying the cashier mad a mistake while he was on vacation.
