Daily Acura and Honda car care tips on Facebook

Kind of a neat little thing I've been doing, check it out and please add me if you'd like

http://www.facebook.com/hondacuraworld

These aren't tips that you'd find in a news feed somewhere, I write each individual one based on my experiences with Honda and Acura vehicles over the last 15 years. I'll be running facebook game contests as well for special discounts coming up in the next couple weeks.....so if you play Bejeweled or other games on FB, be prepared

Guys, this thread is NOT a Facebook bashing thread-let's stay on topic...like this-did you guys know this tip below? I bet you didn't. But....if you had Facebook and were a friend of Tim's, you'd learn it.

By the way Tim, I just sent in you a friend request.

If you lock your keys in the car and have spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. This will save someone from having to drive your keys to you.

In order for it to work, it would have to emit a sound that could travel from one cell phone to another.

Apparently the remote emits radio frequencies that can be picked up by the cell phone and transfered to the other cell phone emitting the same radio frequencies as if you had your remote with you. Some say it works, some say it doesnt. I think the majority of people on here says it doesnt.

IT WORKS. I've tried with a previous car, not with the TL though.. It's all about frequencies..

Can someone try it out on our cars? I'd do it but I'm doubtful it'll work.

Car remotes emit radio waves, not sound waves. Radio waves cannot travel between cell phones, only sound waves. It's techically impossible.

Didn't work for me with my MARS remote. Someone sent that in to me, and after trying it, I was like, um.......

Every other one I have on there I've tried and done successfully......
