Custom Built Wheels

Just wanted to show you guys these custom built wheels we built for a Mercedes C63. The owner wanted simple 5 spoke wheels with straight spokes and tight splits. The wheels are made of 6061 forged centers, and our own patented 6061 spun barrels. The finish is a matte black center with a mercedes gloss white lip and barrels We measured everything out for optimal clearance, and we cut stepped pockets out of the back of the mounting pads and spokes for weight savings.

Very cool. The white lip sets them off perfectly.

How much do 1 off customs typically run?

And I know there are many variables, but is there a ballpark starting point?

I love the white lip on those. Pretty cool.

How do you guys test them for strength and durability?

Our lead designer and machinist has extensive knowledge in metallurgy. Our lips and barrels have been load tested and are dot approved. And our centers are made using custom software that has set load and stress ratings and doesn't let our designers go pass those ratings. The software also does stress and load analysis. It's software that the whole industry uses to build multi-piece wheels. Combine that with years of experience repairing and re-manufacturing wheels. Not to mention my shop is certified in the northeast to repair HRE, BBS, Billet Specialties and ohers. If you have any other questions, pm me.

Nice!

the only one downside is... you ain't got big brakes...
which raises the question... do you guys have designs for people that don't have big brakes, perhaps something that doesn't expose the brakes so much?

also, sorry if you've already mentioned... but are the colored wheels (like the white lips) powder coated?

we dont have set designs. Our customers design what they want or give us at least an idea of what they want. in your case you want a wheel that doesnt expose the brakes? no problem. And yes, the entire wheel is powder, we dont use liquid paints.
