CTS-V Black Diamond Edition
CTS-V Black Diamond Edition
Ok so first I thought Caddy was just copying Benz and Porsche making Black Series but after seeing what they do with the paint I must say I'm impressed. Cadillac has been stepping their game up.....What do you guys think? I like it but I don't know if I would pay that much for a Caddy...

well it just has a really unique paint....I wanna see it in person though. I saw the new Benz matte silver at the LA Auto Show and that was soooooo sick... this is just Caddy's attempt to elevate their status closer to Benz

So... just the paint and wheels? I thought you could already get the Recaros and French-stitched steering wheel and the microfiber suede stuff on the "standard" model.
I'd rather spend the five grand under the hood, thanks

The CTS-V is the high performace version of the TL: best bang for the buck. Sure, there may be nicer cars out there... but you're going to PAY.
With the special paint edition you actually get the Recaro seats, satin graphite finished wheels, yellow Brembos, etc... for the $5000... so you actually don't pay much, if anything, for the special paint. The Recaro's alone are a $3,400 option. Add the special intertior style and it's actually a good deal.
A CTS-V with all the options (not the special edition) actually comes out at right about 70k, which like Costco said, is a steal when you look at comparable cars on the market. So the special edition car is priced very well.

Guys, most of the $4850 premium over a base V is that the base V has no Recaro seats. The Recaros are a $3300 or so option, and it looks like they charge $1k for the pain. They charge $1k for the Thunder Gray and Crystal Red paintjobs as well. This is effectively minimally above the MSRP for a fully spec'd V coupe.
I'd love to see the color in person as I can't see metallics too well in pics on the Web.

I've done my research. After the yellow Brembos, satin graphite wheels, and special interior I would venture to say that you actually get more for less than if you were to just option out a base V.
Yeah, the internet just doesn't capture it. I'd love to see it in person. Although it'd have to be pretty amazing to bring me to buy a black car. Too much work. Although if I did get a CTS-V, it would be my baby so I would take perfect care of it.
I have base seats. When I bought two years ago, the Recaros were very hard to come by as their manufacture was very constrained. I didn't want to wait, so ended up with a car without Recaros.
