CSX in Vancouver

Just wanna say how come back home in Chicago we don't have the Acura CSX, and yea i'm here in British Columbia for Christmas and New Years. But anyways first time ever seeing the Acura Csx look likes a stretch four door RSX. When i first arrived here in Vancouver i was expecting to see snow but there was none just rainy weather unlike back home in CHicago where it's cold and lots of snow. Well everyone on this board Merry CHristmas and New Years yall.

CSX and EL are definately both Canadian only products. I'm not entirely sure why we don't have them, but I see a ton of EL's in Ottawa.

Looks like the EL was replaced with the CSX.

http://www.acura.ca/AcuraEng/Models/...?ModelName=CSX <--specs on the CSX if anyone cares.

Acura EL did exist in Amerca for some time. but they removed it a while ago.

the EL was then replaced by the CSX.. i dont see the need for those models in the US though. The TSX and RSX does well as the entry levels.

Acura wouldn't be ANYWHERE if not for the Integra (now RSX) having kick-started the franchise. Don't anyone evar forget that.

Come to think of it, selling the Legend out of the side of Honda showrooms would have worked nicely I think ... not that it helps the VW Phaeton.

I mean, the dang Acura lineup in the late 90s sucked with a 4-cylinder Accord Coupe dressed up as a CL and a milquetoast RL. The first-gen TL was nice but not enough by itself.

Finally, with the TSX/TL/RL and the MDX, Acura has arrived. Sure, the RSX is around, but Acura doesn't really 'need' it. I don't see it as interfering with the rest of the lineup though.

The CSX might make sense in Canadian urban areas, but that's it.

Even taking inflation into consideration I don't think the Legend costs any where near what the Phaeton does.

I'm not working to compare the two cars side-by-side, just compare experiences where 'specialty' upmarket models were sold by more mainstream sales outlets.

How were the Sterling models in the USA sold? Honda dealers?

Gotcha, I thought you were comparing them as to why they would have failed...

I didn't know that Up to recently I used to see a sterling 827 fairly often. It was an unusually "normal" car that no one knew about

I think they're cool. Supposedly, they are totally junk.
I used to see them when I lived in Ann Arbor, just like I saw older Alfa Romeo sedans there.

Agreed.

Acura has to move upscale if it is to be a serious competitor in the luxury market. With Acura coming in Japan, I see things getting better.

The CSX is a truly a disgrace to the badge. Lexus and Infiniti are much smarter than rebadging their Corolla and Sentra with luxury badges.

According to the Matrix of models Honda/Acura has had, it is/was Canada only. I don't believe it existed here at all either.

When? Nobody believes you, so cough up the facts if you have any.

Being close to Canada, I see some EL at times, but usually they're smart enough to stay on the other side of the lakes.
