extremely smart!
When my dad was a GM, he used to check the books, see who hasn't bought a car in around two years or test drove a car recently. Park the car they were interested in right on the street and leave it there for the perspective customer to call his dealership up.
He said a third of the people went for it since their neighbors were commenting how nice their new car was.

I'm pretty sure this would get you shot in Texas
I have a friend that lives in an affluent neighborhood and a lawn service took a picture of his house to use it on their promotional material, without asking. They had to service his lawn for free for like 3 months or "deal with the consequences".

Interesting concept, but it would definitely take a lot of time for the average dealer to pull something like this off without someone calling the cops on them for trespassing..In NY, at least.
would it be considered trespassing??
They arent going on the driveway, just snapping a pic of their car?
I dont see how this violates a law?
I know some people wont be happy with it.

At worst you would just be asked to leave.
Most neighborhoods have a big mailbox almost like an apartment with 20 or so boxes.
Also convenient as you can drop off mail to the box.
